Game crashes when starting online

I wanted to play multiplayer with a friend. But everytime i started it up, it closes after i synced. It didnt give any error. Can someone help me? Thank you!

Hi, please check the version of the game you are using. You can do it by pressing Ctrl+V while on the main screen. Does it say "release 12b"?

I've had this happen in a few games, and in most cases it was caused by some leftover cache files or a messed-up network setting.
