Hi there,

I know this has previously been asked earlier this year before the release of the DK2 but is there any support for this yet in the current version on krp. I have just received my dk2 and read that Oculus will be supported. Has anyone had any success to getting the oculus working with kart racing pro?

This would open another level of realism. I have so far used it with iracing and Live for Speed and it is incredibly immersive  :)

DK2 support coming with the next build.

That is great news,

Do you have a rough idea of when the new build will be released?

hey,

I have trouble getting oculus to work.
I have activated the game and I am using virtual desktop with headless ghost with window 8.1.

I have added the monitor parameter to core.ini, but I cannot rotate the display, because then my virtual desktop stops working.
I am using extended mode.

When I start up the game with oculus.dll, I get a window tho main monitor which shows the oculus text at startup but after that I will see the black "binocular" shape, but everything inside is white. I can hear shound so I quess that the game is working.

Any help in this matter?

Are you using the demo?
Unfortunately Oculus support at the moment is not working correctly in demo mode.

I have the full version, demo did the same thing for me.

Are the graphics drivers updated to the latest official version?

I will upgrade drivers altho those are quite new (this year), but I tested this some more.

When I was not using virtual desktop, I got the picture to real monitor and I thought that the monitor=2 would be the monitor id it was not.. this monitor=2 worked, but.
When menus are on, the picture is good, but I cannot see the buttons at the bottom. When I get to the kart,, I have really cross-eyed vision and it is undriveable.
When I hit esc adn the menu comes to screen, the picture is good and I don't have any cross-eyed experience. When I close the menu, picture goes cross-eyed again.
Is there some magic settings that could help ?

Everything is upgraded, but still having the crosseyed problem.
Can this be caused bty my camera being 30decrees to the right of me?

Really odd that with the menu on it works nicely..

Oculus DLL updated:

Please report if it improves Rift support.

Hey

I tested this and there is no difference.. Menus are really hard to use and in the kart, with menu on top it looks good.
When I am normally in the cart, it seems that there is regular fullscreen image in the rift, not the oculus "binocular" view..
I did not remove the lenses, but it seems that there is no overlap in the pictures in left and right eye.

Any news on this one?

I don't have real monitor, but I took a vnc connection to my computer and moved the window to my primary display so this should be my situation.
I was next to my computer so the view from an odd place , but crosseyed anyway.
the oculus3 shot has the crosseyed view when driving and the oculus4 is the one that looks ok with the menu.

The eyes distance used is the value returned by the Oculus SDK.
Have you changed something in the parameters?
The menu rendering should not look correct, because the same camera position is used for both eyes.
