@PiBoSo
1. What is being updated/added to the next beta of KRP
2. When is it coming?
There is going to be a option to race AI...
jk ;D
Although I do wish on it!
IAME Leopard/X30 and M6 bodywork are looking like prime candidates ;) ;)

1. What is being updated/added to the next beta of KRP
2. When is it coming?
The next build should be the first "official" release.
Several physics improvements are already in progress: tyre model, drafting, chassis flex, ...
The plan is also to add more contents.
There will be a small surprise feature, too.
The release date cannot be set yet, because there still is a lot to do.
If I may add a couple of suggestions based off what we have experienced after the first round of the new skwc season:
- On the base setup, the karts have a lack of front grip and overall grip. The front end slides far too much for the amount of wheel input normally needed, so whether it is a fix in caster or something else of the sort, I'd recommend putting back in some grip.
- The plastic bodyworks have no flex at all, and minor contacts end up causing major wrecks. In order to have starts like in real life with 33 drivers and only 3-6 spins in turn 1 as a high, this would need to be implemented. In KRP's current state, it appears 12 is already pushing the limit as drivers have to be less aggressive than real life in order to make it through the first few corners.
- The aero loose affect may occur in cars but it does not actually happen in karts. I remember you saying that it was an easy fix so I hope you've already got this in your mind. However, the draft is also overpowered when compared to real life and right now the aero loose balances it. When the aero loose is removed, I'd recommend dialing down the drafting physics.
i like the sound of that PiboSo! thank you once again and looking forward to the next release! :D
Are other suggestions that have been made being considered for the game or is what you've listed the extent of new stuff? Or will you not say

Aero has already been improved.
The fix will be integrated in the next build.

You can't just say that, obviously PiBoSo is going to have to make it to have the karts all up to date. It is pretty pathetic that certain people have to think that PiBoSo is stealing the project when alls people have been doing is complaining that karts aren't up to date and when he does he gets accused of stealing projects....
you are a good bloke RaZoRCart but yeah, your statement wasn't really needed.

I think connor is just confused about why people were mad about the FP7. Corrie and most others were mad because piboso was helping him do the FP7 all the while doing it himself. Which ya of course it was coming but why not just say "hey im doing this soon go work on something else" like thats really the dick move by piboso not doing it. And I think connor just doesnt grasp this. Plus Ian did the M6 in hopes of piboso taking the model from him an using it with mild improvements. But piboso hates Ian so that would never happen until hell freezes over.

I fully understand what you mean, but PiBoSo in no way has to tell anyone what he is working on, look at it this way, with PiBoSo helping Hiatt do the FP7, he has taught him how to do things for future bodykits.
+ Ian had mentioned the whole giving the M6 to PiBoSo thing, it looks nice, but PiBoSo/Snappe are more than capable of making their own, more than likely better version of the bodykit, I fully understand what you mean, but even if PiBoSo didn't mind Ian ( as we have all seen, he isn't to fond of our friend Ian) He wouldn't take the model.... its not a thing based on relationships, he didn't take any of Laurent's tracks and put them in game... and him and PiBoSo seemed to be pretty good mates so yeah...

I might of been a little harsh, but I don't want to see someones work (Ian works his a** off) go into the trashcan. If the developers would tell someone what they are doing, the public can work on other things. If anything, the physics of the game itself should be prioritized over looks that can be done by the community. If PiBoSo does put the M6 in game, maybe at least give the modders some credit.
Also, we don't need a WWIII with PiBoSo and Ian.

Looking at the videos and the description it doesn't look like KRP and KK will be direct competitors.

It's a kart racing game that has plans to have super realistic physics even if it's some what aimed at console players and hardcore Sim racers doesn't mean it won't directly compete. I mean I guarantee pretty much every person who plays krp will buy kk when it release so if that's not competition I don't know what is.
Maybe. Or maybe not.
It is worth mentioning that KK has something like 100x the KRP budget, so there can't be competition anyway... No one can fight against the power of money :)
The thing that will more than likely win people over is the fact that it has laser scanned tracks and you can buy stuff, I know that in a way that does take out the " sim " part of the game, but at least we have stuff to work towards instead of just doing lap after lap, I do think heaps of people will play KK and will probably preffer it, but I don't think KRP will be dead, it will just be at a low point for a couple months until the novelty of of it wears off

:o regardless of budget it is going head to head with krp in the exact same niche genre that is kart based sim racing, even if the physics are a little dodgy or there is like an online career mode doesn't mean it won't compete.
True.
But the point is that it doesn't change KRP plans, because unfortunately there's nothing really that can be done to compete.

Welp with their release of photos of the formula k rip Krp. Kart Kraft already has plans to have the OK engines along side the KF plus they have the crg with M4 pods which we've been begging for for months with no word from any one about it even being possible
The only con that i think that kartkraft have is modding, that i think it is not supported but i have everything i want, that aussie engines are awesome, ok engines, kf, and even mychron 5 i can see in the pictures of the formula k, and if it have the Tony Kart Licence i say you piboso to not develop anymore this game

Never sell the skin before you've caught the bear. ;)
Maybe too late, but hopefully there will be space for both: one for more casual karters, and one for the hardcore simmers :)

I know I've done a lot of bashing of KRP and you recently but I had no intentions of implying that I want krp to fail or for you to give up. I just feel like there are multiple long term problems from the development side that now that there is competition could easily kill the game if they dont change. And I want them to change this game is here its been developed so you shouldn't just up and leave because there is a new kid on the block. I hope you can look past your personal hatred of me to see what I mean and I do apologize if I came off in a manor that implied i wanted to see this game die.
No personal hatred. Just a pain to see attacks to other members and OT messages ;)
There are big plans to improve KRP physics ( and adding support for wings ), graphics, features, contents ( even the new MyChron ) and, most important, modding tools ( and updated exporters ) and documentation, including examples.
But of course if the whole community will jump on KK it would make everything quite pointless :'(
I honestly think making me a global moderator would be a good step forward to having stuff done on the forum tbh...

Thank you for the encouraging words :)

Not sure if you have been reading any of the comments but we have been saying KRP won't die, it will just slow down for a while until KartKraft's novelty wears off and people will figure out which game they want to play, so PiBoSo doesn't need to " be fast " it is already clear on which game has what content and the appearance, so please, if you are going to comment, comment something useful.
my opinion is as long as its regularly updated, the Tonykart bodywork and KF engine models (radiator mounts) used for examples...
popular needed relevant features that are suggested like on track carburettor adjusting.
fixes like the CRG number size and positioning also
the sounds are improved and adding content/features/tracks as best as time would allow.
WET LINES, karting simulator must have, less grip on traditional racing line in the wet!
following on from the carburettor, my idea would be you have a slider while driving, using the arrow keys or something for example, leaner (faster but more risk of seize) on one end of the scale, and Richer (slower but safer) on the other, this would perfectly when racing on the drying track feature when you need to be lean for the bottom end and revs but when it starts to dry, the risk increases of seizing the engine, which would then require a richer setting. would be a perfect combination! would be cool if we could get a small animation as well like the photo i attached
the dynamic drying track surface is really good and having the ability to adjust the carburettor to the current conditions while driving would be a massive deal and help the realism huge amounts!
i know this is easier said than done and i know theres a lot of work involved as well as other projects on the go but if its kept up date and more features added in more frequently, even if there's a lot of small ones, its just a few pointers and i think it would go a long way and everything will be mint!! :D
thanks hopefully people will agree :-\
On tracks with 'groove' there is less grip on the normal racing line. Its just the fact that most tracks don't have it ;)

Someone had to do it. ::)
I don't like how KK expect you to 'unlock' the KZ and all the faster karts? they may as well go the full shebang and start us off in indoor rentals with wonky steering :-\
I'm just sticking to KRP. At least the developer here is actively involved with the community. ;) ;)

Um... I think that might be a understatement. Where are you PiBoSo? WE NEED YOU!
EDIT: He did post about Christmas, good start lad.
To improve the KRP support for modders I am here as a moderator to answer your questions or forward them to PiBoSo :)
QuoteMean while piboso has some pretty inconsistent communication skills.
You try building a game by yourself and still respond to everyone on the forum ;)
I'm not saying that KK doesn't look like a good game, just that if it's supposed to be a simulator I should be trusted from the off by the devs not to virtually kill myself in a KZ ;D ;D
fair enough.
Yeah, something like that would be a good feature!
