Hi, just to rule out the obvious - are you running a 64-bit version of Windows?

Are you referring to the files located in Documents->PiBoSo->Kart Racing Pro->profiles-> [YourKRPNickname]->tracks? These are simply in-game files with groove and marble values accumulated during your sessions on these tracks. The pre-installed tracks are stored in the Kart Racing Pro installation folder in a compressed format (tracks.pkz).

Hi, first of all, let's clarify this – have you purchased your version of Kart Racing Pro from Steam or have you downloaded a demo version from the KRP website? Please bear in mind that The Demo version doesn't support additional tracks.

As Eumk2012 correctly pointed out, all additional tracks should be placed in My Documents -> PiBoSo -> Kart Racing Pro -> mods -> tracks, but you need to create the folder tracks manually as it doesn't exist by default.

You cannot see attachments on this board.

All downloaded tracks are compressed for the ease of distribution and you have to extract the folder with the track and put it into the created tracks folder. Normally, the tracks come as ZIP files and Windows can easily cope with them. However, the New Castle track is a RAR archive and to open it you will need something like this - http://www.freeunrar.com/#download

Hope this helps.

Track Editing / Re: Track creation guide

Doogie_, I'm afraid, there is no way you can get 3ds Max 2010 edition officially these days. Google lists plenty of unofficial links to the product, but it's up to you if wish to follow that path ;) What I'm trying to say, you don't really need 3ds Max for the conversion. Fbx2edf tool is quite capable of creating your MAP and TRP files.

Hi, in 3DSimED export your project to an FBX format and then use fbx2edf tool (for a description see http://docs.piboso.com/wiki/index.php?title=FBX2EDF#Converting_FBX). 3ds Max plug-ins in Track Tools only work with the 2010 edition.

Hi, can you provide more details about your issue? What's exactly happening when you try to launch KRP? Do you get any error messages? What are your system's specs and OS version?

Can you be more specific? What would you like to update?

Hi, the Steam version is the same thing. The Quick Race mode is one of the options for setting up your own online race which will be hosted on your PC.

Hi, any chance you could upload a screenshot with the code request?

Tracks / Re: Shenington

Hi, just look for shen.zip in the New KRP Database (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RUx9PntaSTxNDQUJyt6j3BOYsuRF82gb). Don't be misguided by incorrect images for a track map and a logo, it's still Shenington.

Go to My Documents -> PiBoSo -> Kart Racing Pro -> mods. Create a folder named tracks and extract the files from the archive you've downloaded into that folder.

Track Editing / Re: refresh old track textures

Hi Super Sic,

If it's an old track for KRP, I don't think it's possible. To update textures, you need access to all original files used to create the track in question.

http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=6741.0 gives you a link to the track database compiled by Raise. You can find PFi there (pf international. zip).

Hi Yaytzash,

Have you tried to verify integrity of game files (Steam-> Library->Kart Racing Pro-> Right-Click to activate menu->Properties->Local Files Tab ->Verify Integrity of Game Files button)?

Also a couple of obvious things - you must be logged in to Steam  and, if you are launching KRP by using a shortcut on your desktop, please make sure that the link's URL points to Steam (e.g. steam://rungameid/415600). If you run an antivirus on your system, please check that it doesn't block kart.exe.

As for returning to a standalone version, I guess the right way would be to get a refund from Steam providing you have spent less than 2 hours in the game and purchase the Standalone Kart Racing Pro License at http://kartracing-pro.com/?page=purchase

Regards,

LXS
