Track Editing / Estonian local track - Advice needed
December 02, 2013, 06:34:41 PM
Hey guys. :) I have stepped out of my comfort zone of making skins, so I decided I should give it a go on making tracks aswell :)
So far I have been following Aritz's tutorial for complete beginners and I have managed to do the track, some objects, grass and that is kind of it. I need help with making the pit zone that has a different type of tarmac. How should I do the huge pit area ? I know how to make the road that leads from the track to the pit area, but some of the pictures in the tutorial are down at the moment, I am suspecting they are the ones that talk about the pit area. Any help would be awesome.
Here are some pictures of my progress so far.

The energy karts weren't so much different, they only had sponsor stickers on them. But the tribal energy skin that they used at GF is already made by me.
Here is the download link of the 2011 Energy tribal skin in case you have missed it :)

Here is my photo comparison once again :P The suit is a little off, but I couldn't have been bothered with the ESTONIA sign on the leg (I had to cut the ESTONIA in half and fit the sides together on the back and front suit texture.)

This time it was better, because I used a lot of elements from your skin Evo, couldn't have done it so good without you :) (Floor board and the silver sticker finish)

Paints / CRG Grand Finals 2013
November 24, 2013, 06:58:44 PM
Hey guys. :) I made a comeback of making skins over a long time. I had the chance to participate in the Rotax Grand Finals in New Orleans this year and CRG suprised us all who drove in the DD2 class with special edition stickers. Because the Grand Finals will most likely be my last race overall, I decided to do the skin.

Also guys, It would be nice if you let me know if I should just upload the kart aswell, or should I put a suit with it aswell? I am going to do my personal Estonia suit to go with the kart so I doubt you all would like to drive with my last name on the back of the suit :P

Added the download link. I just included the original CRG Suit.

I have made the Maranello 2011 skin ages ago, if you haven't yet found it, here is the link for it.

The suit isn't the same but it is similar and the kart is the one that you requested. Hope you enjoy it.

Really nice job, but the green stripes near the pedals on the front pod shouldn't actually be there. Factory team drivers have special pods of some sort near the pedals ( I think it might be for toe protection or something. ) If this sticker kit releases next year to customers, The front sticker won't have those green pedal stripes, unless you get the special front pod or something. I think removing them makes it a bit more realistic for the next year sticker kit, but that is just my opinion :)

Remember, the bodykits itself aren't green. Be sure to leave a white lower layer and make the sticker effect. From your pictures, it seems as if the whole side pods are green. The white background of the pods should still be visible. Other than that, spectacular work mate ! :)

Track Editing / Campillos track help request
December 04, 2011, 06:55:13 PM
Hey guys. So, my thing is. I got an opportunity to go to the Rotax Winter cup in Campillos next year. I was thinking that it might help me a bit if I could play the track in KRP before going there. I have the rFactor version of it, but obviously rFactor isn't such a realistic karting simulator. My question is... Could anyone help me with the converting to KRP ? I would do it myself, but I once tried it, failed miserably and rage quit...  It would help me out alot and other players may also like it, because Campillos is a great track... Whoever has the skills and the will to do this, please reply to this topic or send me a PM ;)

Support / Re: Connection timeout
November 22, 2011, 07:44:29 PM
Well the thing is that I haven't bought anything related to the internet or the virus protection. My kart.exe isn't blocked by anything. Lately I talked to my Internet provider and I told them to open my ports and they said they did it, although my NAT was still showing up as strict. Maybe I should make a call to them again, to check if my ports are open?

Ok, sorry for bringing up an old topic, but I've had the same problem for quite a while now. My .exe file is not blocked by anything, everything should be working. I had the same problem in beta3. But the weird thing is that I haven't always had it. It came in the middle of the beta3 I think. I couldn't get the game to work and because of that I grew apart from the game, but now I would want to try the beta4 online, but cant.
Soooo... long story short, any other fixes for the connection timeout error?
PS: While playing MW3 it says NAT:Strict, has the NAT thing anything to do with KRP?

Really nice idea for the ones, that don't have the programs / skills to do their own custom design ;)
Although, the pattern seems to be a little bit too small, so it makes the helmet a bit too unrealistic or weird, maybe if you could try and do one with a bit bigger pattern,
for example, the ( very expensive ) Arai carbon helmet has a much bigger pattern, so it makes the helmet kind of smoother :)

Nevertheless, really good job,
Thinking out of the box is a really good thing ! ;)
