High detail painting and my first helmet

Step one take hig high resolution photos of shoes and gloves and logos


In GIMP or photoshop use the polygon lasso tool to cut out the dtails
paste them into your paint
pres alt+T to transform the details. 
right click what you pasted and choose warp to fine tune the detail to the UV map
Note: the UV map is the boundaries of the paint
unlock the shading layer and use the clone stamp tool to remove some of the shading detail that overlaps your detail
for example (i clone stamped out the strap on the glove to put my own custom one)
to use the clone stamp pres alt on an area which is clean and color over the detail you want to remove from the shading layer

layers are your friend
make groups and tons of layers to perfect your paint

im not that skilled yet i can try. the helmets are tricky becuase the UV map wraps around and the top dome of the helmet is a seperate peice. I hope your helemts not too crazy
