Karting in a few weeks

Hey everyone,

I've just been invited to a stag do where we're going to be karting at Rye House.  Since I'm a bit of an iRacing fan, I thought I'd see if there's a decent Karting simulator out there.  Lo and behold - Kart Racing Pro.  And.. it has Rye House! 

I thought I might give the track a bit a go and find out if some digital practice might give me an advantage   I've tried out the demo (unfortunately Rye House is not the demo track!) and it seems pretty good.

Some questions:

• Which kart in KRP (if any) might be most similar to the one we're likely to use on a Stag do day?  The website says GT2 Twin Engine Karts. 
• I noticed KRP has gear change options - I didn't know karts had gears.  I am guessing the ones we use at Rye house will not have gears?
• Anyone here raced at Rye House and in the sim?  How similar is the experience?  Will practice in KRP give me an advantage?

• KF3 or FS250
• Only the KZ1 has gears
