Dear all,
I have upgraded my ATI HD5870 ( crossfire ) with new official driver from AMD website, from 10.10 to 11.1 and now the maximum resolution permitted is 1440x900 ! Why I cannot choose 1920x1080 and before yes ? Thanks for your support

I confirm, yesterday I remove the newer and installed the older and the max resolution is 1920x1080. I reinstalled the newer 11.1 and the maximum resolution is 1440x900. I can modify some config file for reach the maximum resolution of 1920x1080 ?

Thanks in advance for the support

A workaround ( even if not a proper solution ) is to open profile.ini and, in gfx section, set:
x=1920
y=1080
fullscreen=0

In Kart Racing Pro, how many refresh rates can you select at 1280x720 and 1440x900 resolutions?

kloid

In kart racing pro directory, I have unnamedProfile directory with profile.ini, follow the contents :

When I launch the game the screen is windowed and the graphics is 640x480, the maximum resolution is 1440x900

From 640x480 to 1440x900 the maximum refresh rates is 60Hz

I don't know why with the older graphic driver all works good !

Thanks for your feedback

kloid

Hi,
today I have update my driver with new release 11.2 from ATI official website, but the problem still remain. Only this game is affected, could be because is in OPEN GL ?

Thanks for your support

Hi, anyone has the same problem?

Kloid, why you change your video card driver if it was working good. You guys have to know that new driver is not necessary good for you video card. Not because it's newer that it's compatible with your video card. So, if you're old driver is working good, then reinstall it.

kloid

Hi,
because I installed a Crossfire 5870 vapor-x oc and in formula 1 2010 and Bad company 2 the new driver increase the stability and the performance. So , why I should maintain the older ?...in this case only for Kart racing pro....

So, I create a Virtual machine only for kart racing pro and all is ok, but is not the best solution for the performance.

I think that something could be done for solve.

Thanks in advance to all
bye

I understand Kloid, but is the crossfire not working with the 10.xx driver?

kloid

Sure, that works.

But my request is why with the release 11.xx kart racing pro doesn't work correctly ? ....thanks for the support

andri

That's what I said Kloid, If your computer is running good, then don't change anything. New driver is not necessary compatible with your video card.
