i think you track is not scaled properly.  See how wide the course it?

if this is the default arrow ur track is a bit too small^^ check in 3ds if u have metric units.

in 3ds max make a line that is the width of the track
Use google earth program to measure thise
the scale it until the track width matchs the line width
