loading paints in game

hi guys firstly i am very useless when it comes to computer things but have fumbled my way through loading the kosmic paint in game. but i have also downloaded the monster paint scheme and the merlin one aswell but the monster paint apperars in game but doesn't show any name in the kart menu in game.

the problem i am having with the merlin paint is i cant for the life of me figure out how to change it from a tga file to a pnt file so i can use it i have read everything i can find on here to do it but am still struggling with doing it.
any help would be great in educating me on how to get both of these to show up and work right

ok bit more info i can get the merlin pnt file and name to show ingame but not the paint scheme the kart goes back to the original tony kart paint.

Try re-converting the .tga to a .pnt again and putting it in the game. For some reason it took me a few tries to get it to show up, not really sure why.
