QUICK CONVERSION TIPS to RFACTOR FROM GTR2: By RudyD, 2010, reworked for KRP by EVO

Download a GTR2 track
No grip racing has tons, Many exclusive to the game

Extract the track .zip.   
Often it creates a Gamdata folder , with the track folder within, and the ttack contents within that.
In the track folder, usually  the game data folder make a backup copy of original .trk and .gdb files, use copies for editing.  Some Gtr2 tracks have multiple layouts.   Take the .gdb. and .trk from the layout you want.   

Delete references to general (race07, Evo, GTL, etc) from top of .trk (later to become rF .scn) file.
Example:   "SearchPath=GAMEDATA\LOCATIONS\SHARED\ADVERTISEMEN TS"  and .GTR

Run  geditorv0.35

Open the MAP.GTR first and export all the contents, then in the same geditor0 35 open the other .GTR in the same application in order to export the .gmt files without an error.  Rreflect.gtr not required

Place contents in a single folder
.gdb, .trk, .gmt, and .dds  everything else can be deleted

Import in 3DSimEd 2.6a
Export menu
   Export textures (right side of screen)
   Export R factor Objects (save objects add to .mas) o the same folder
All to same folder

Now follow Racehard's "Track conversion tutorial rFactor" begnining with  converting the .dds to .tga
