changing paint details

i have a question about paints

ok so say someone  has created a paint for us all to download. say if their name was on the kart and i wanted to get rid of the name in gimp and put my own yeah. everything else is the same about the paints but one has somebodys name on it and the other has the other persons name on it. i pack it and call it the same. name the pnt and call it the same. so what im asking is will you still be able to see the paint in krp or because it has one missing detail it comes up as the standard kart colours?

if you make any changes on a paint you wont be able to see it anymore

unpack it, edit it, rename it, repack it. npo problems.
Can you make your trhead title a little more specific so incase someone with the same questions know where to look and not ask again.
