Is there anyway to when you are making a paint to update it ingame like in for example race 07 where you press a button and it updates??

It's not possible at the moment.
Would it be useful to update the paint in the main menu "viewer"?

In my opinion yes it takes alot of time to sit and have to go into a track and then back out just to see if you have set the different things in the right spot

You mean the ability to switch paints in main menu's showroom? That would make looking at several paints way less time consuming :)

The possibility to reload the current paint should be useful for painters.

Normally if I put a new version of a paint i am currently working on ingame, i just replace the old files, and so the kart is already chosen with the new paint on it, right away from the beginning. But of course if you want to compare paints ingame that would be a good way to make it easier :)
