here is my first "airbox":
if you remind many years ago they only used a bowl as a airbox on the old 100ccm engines. i havent made the position of the airboxholes because i dont know what i should put them haha

some of them used no airbox at all. like the DAP.  just a carb dish with the shape of the throad of a venturi.  check out the video link i posted. You cant start real modding by taking pictures of your engine and uploading to 123d then import into max as an .obj then optimize.  I hope we can engine mod though.  Still waiting on details for that and bodyworks.
