Wheel settings reset

Hello,
   This is only the second post about this problem. I own a g27 and everything saves under configuration until I restart game. The wheel properties revert to unknown and need to be reset. Each time the G27 properties have to selected and wheel, gas, brake, clutch pedals have to be reapplied each time the game restarts. I have tried setting the file under my documents to read only and that does not work either. If this is ongoing, it makes it real inconvenient to just hop on and play. Thanks
