optimum temp tires?

how the pressure? more pressure less temp?

when do you use hard tires?

Schwoni

optimum temp on tyres is i think 80 - max. 100 degrees

more pressure less temp right but in krp you you can only change 0,3 bar so i`m not able to set a good setup for this i think we need more.

with hard tires same but they need more time to get on temp and too hot ;)

EVO

You tires will overheat if you put too much pressure,
If you put too little they will never get upto temeprature
if you put just right they will last longer than everyone else and help you at the end of the race

Schwoni

i think it`s opposite. but ok  ;)

Aritz

Schwoni, he is right ;)

In karting the more pressure the more heat and you will  have high wear! If you put, lets say, 1 bar in summer, with high track temp, you can destroy your tyres in few laps!

yes, i read later in a setup guide.
so the possibility of put 1 or 1.3 bar it is only for wet track?

Aritz

with normal tyres, in a normal day, 1.3 bar is madness. You would see tyre pieces flying over the track like the Pirelli in F1 lol

i have a problem with the tyre temp. I drive 4-5 laps and after this the kart is undrivable because i have 120 degrees on rear tyres. I tried to change the pressure to 0,4 bar and also to 1 bar but it`s the same. Anyone else with this problem? or do i drive to aggressive :)

Which kart?
Soft or Hard tires?

Schwoni

ks1 soft tires what does the black and white line display? i think the temp difference between in middle and out. right?

The three black bars for each tire display inside / middle / outside wear.

Aritz

So, we have the same tyre during the session?

For race, the tyre is new? When do they be changed?

Fresh tires are automatically used every time the kart goes to track.

uh, never realized those  ::)
what's better? equable wear?

Aritz

That's impossible...

The normal wear is a lot inside and almost nothing outside of the tyre. Why? High camber front and axle flexibility (a kind of camber) rear
