There are different rev limiters going from 10000 for junior until 11500 for senior. Although this said one guy had it up to about 14800 then it blew up. The class is minimum weight 180 kg for senior XR 50. The kart alone is about 90 kg

so, ballast = 180 - 60 (chassis) - 70 (driver) - 17 (engine) = 33

has it more consumption fuel compared to a kz1?

oppolo

ok
the kart is almost done, I have to check the engine temp. let me know if it has a rpm limiter

James Beer

I was looking forward to new 4 strokes engines that resembled rental karts and now I have it :)
what could be a 4T engine for a rental mini kart?

its the same with our race cars, no rev limiter needed but better to be safe than sorry. The guy i spoke to said they never hold it on the end of the revs for very long as it just overheats the engine too much.

with the third party rev limiters going from 10000 for junior until 11500 for senior. without the limiters they can do 14800

ok, I had it with rpm limiter, now I have to do a new torque curve

hmmm, for pushing the kart at that rpm the torque curve is a little strange  ???, are you sure they are not tuned ?

oppolo

mmm, I'm thinking to use a rev limiter at 11500, if is good for you , after some test I could upload it

James Beer

yeah ok sure go ahead ;) im just saying what the guy who owns one said
