Can we see what you made??? It probably looks nice. ;)
There's always a lot of talk about motivation to race, but nobody really knows what I do or what I think apart from myself, so I don't really care what people think.     -Kimi Raikkonen

it's unnecessary because, as I told, I used default 3D; so there isn't air cooled engine 3D , so for 4T the 3D is the F250 default engine, and for the air cooled BT82 engine, the 3D is the default F100

I have to say that I loved them.
I was looking forward to new 4 strokes engines that resembled rental karts and now I have it :)
Although they are fictional, you´re making it as real as you can and that's a good thing.
I think it feels very good. (Of course if you could get the full specs that would be even better)

About the 3D and sound, I'm not even a bit bothered by the defaults being used, I loved the x30 and it was also default 3D and sound. (by the way... I'm also looking forward for it's release for beta9)  ;D

Good work :)

oppolo

good you like, let me know about temp,  I tested them only in some tracks and always at 20 degrees, now I tried the 7HP in a fast track, where most of the time was at full throttle, and temp was raising at 127, maybe they need some adjustments

yes, me too I like x30, I have it and also KT100 physic engines in my pc, but I don't want public because there are others guys working on them, and also in the 3D models

now I was thinking to do something else with the chassis of mini, maybe with a Comer k80, but it seems impossible to find max hp and max nm

James Beer

yes they are quite good fun :) going along with your 4 stroke theme maybe a aixro wankel xr50?

nmpcs

awesome, more specs.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one excited about the 4 stroke engines :)
Now we need some indoor tracks for those lesser powered karts/engines ;)

yes I can do, here there is the torque curve http://www.renntechkarting.com/products_xr50es.html

Sam Flintham

The 4 strokes are really fun, great work  ;D

http://www.woelfle-engineering.com/Produkte/produkte_XR50rotaryengine_en.html

theres some documentation at the bottom of this page too ;)

yes i like 4 strokes, they keep going for ever, not the fastest but some of them are really powerful, gotta love the overun on a 4 stroke :D
2 strokes are quick and i love them but they are a pain in the back side to maintain, with these they just run run run

I have done a first torque curve, do you know if these engines are died under 3500 rpm? do you know the idle?

James Beer

im not sure actually, but i can ask someone who will know ;)

good

there is also this http://www.rodykart.com/pdf/xr50_manual.pdf
48 hp @ 8500 - 46.1 Nm @ 4500

Sam Flintham

haha this is awesome didn't think that anyone would be this serious about it but i love it!  :D

oppolo

thanks for support

I noticed the Honda 390, used for endurance, has 15 hp http://www.birel.it/en/endurance_events.asp , probably they have removed the governor, I think I'll make 15 HP at 5000 with rpm limiter at 5500.
I'll release it in next pack including the xr50. I'm waiting Intrepid James for to know what max power to use
