Is anyone playing with a keyboard?

Hey, one day while waiting for the first beta of GP-Bikes, I thought I try the kart sim. And that was one lucky boring day.
I'm curious if there are people playing this sim with a keyboard. I do, and it's load of fun.

I saw some lap times (way faster then mine) AND since I'm struggling to get into 46's, usually lapping around 47.5, i wanna know if it's normal for keyboard use or I'm doing something wrong (setup wise).

Ahh, almost forgot, I play the demo, so the tack is Lonato and the kart is KC1.

I dont think many people play with keyboard. If you can afford it, buy a wheel. Doesnt have to be anything expensive, maybe an old G25 or something similar. And its not very fun to play against people with keyboard, because they are usually all over the place, destroying races for everyone else. But I have to say that those times are impressive with a kb  :)

I played first with keyboard also, but this game make me wanna buy a wheel, so i did.
I bought the Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 FF wheel. Here in Holland, i payed 100 Euro for it incl delivered @ home.

I've you have the budget for a wheel you could check http://www.insidesimracing.tv/ They have plenty reviews about wheels.

If you're going to buy a wheel take Logitech Driving Force GT. Best for the buck at around €100. But more expensive is almost always better, pedals for sure are.

If you like driving sims, a wheel would add just so much more to your enjoyment. It'd be your best investment in this hobby.

I know, I drove Richard Burns rally for a long time on a keyboard with great fun, but it was so much more with a steering wheel and pedals!

Yeah,  since I play so much with a keyboard I know how important it is to have an analogical controller. And it will come, but for now I  have other expenses  :P.
The acc on GB-Bikes is killing my times, but on a kart is much less , or so I thought. But since I'm losing around 4! seconds on such a small track, I'm starting to think it's more to it.

Just to answer Stark,  I'm uploading my record lap and time sheet (in the third  outing I was trying a taller gear, that showed to  not be an improvement)

I don't think my racing line is all that bad, although on my record lap I made a clear mistake (drifting wide and loosing momentum) at the 4th right corner, that cost me around half a second.
