Sorry for being dumb but how would I do this?

I have just started to play this game and I am using a PS4 Dualshock controller - not the best I know, but needs must!!  I am desperately trying to work out how to stop leaning forward as soon as the left stick is pointed slightly forward the racer leans forward which is quite a distraction and affects your ability to control the kart when starting out.

Any help would be appreciated.

I did - several times in fact!!  Still no difference, the throttle still does not work.  I don't know what else to do, very frustrated.  I have contacted Kart Racing Pro support directly and they have not been much help. 

I have recently purchased this game on the steam platform and am playing using a PS4 controller.
When I enter testing mode and then go to track I try to accelerate the right trigger nothing at all happens, from what I can see the other controls work.  This was working ok for the first days but then it stopped working and I really don't understand why and it is frustrating.  I have paid about £20 and can't use the game.  I wonder whether it is possible that I inadvertently changed a setting without realising.  Is there a way to reset the control defaults?

Please help.
