is that a question? if so, yes that is exactly what you do.  You can open the official paints in paint ed to know the file naming standards.

Your setup is pretty simiar to mine. Sell the tv and get the oculus rift.  Thats what i plan to do. U went through alot of effort to get pretty direct connections to your  digital inputs. Check out my rig. http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=1385.msg9836#msg9836
I went the super cheap reversable route. But the feel is pretty good as long as the weighted digital pedal stand stays in place and the tension in the wire to the kart pedals  stays the same.

The next level is having a photo sensor in the airbox to sense choking. Two on the radiator one on the top and one on the bottom to sense radiator cover adjustments and one in the middle for radiator hand covering. Buttons on the brake master cylinder for brale bais  adjustments. A normally closed switch in the back of the seat to sense tucking when you lean forward.  Last but not least a real kart shifter, clutch lever, and a real kart wheel attached to a shaft and the motor relocated under the kart floor pan. Ive seen some of these implemented.  Im thinking a old keyboard (practically free) can be hacked up to run wires to buttons and then apply those buttons in game. Just some food for thought. You sim rig is coming along so  i figured id offer some next level suggestions.

General Discussion / Re: Kart Racing Pro beta15b

I really like the new Beta.  Just a few minor recommendations for release 1 track map for new Lonato and best lines not the warmup lap tire heating swerving.

I guess this is because of windows user rights when installing KRP to the standard folder "c:\program files (x86)". You can

  • open the editor as admin and then open the kart.ini with it
  • copy the kart.ini to the desktop for example, change it, then save it and copy it into the KRP folder again (overriding the old one)
  • change the user rights for the file or the whole KRP folder (I never tried this)
  • install the game to a folder "c:\games" for example to avoid problems like this

copy the original kart.ini and rename it kart.ini.bakup or something.
Rename the original to something else.  Open it and add the increase replay size data and save it as kart.ini

Could you make a Ayrton Senna helmet he would wear in his karting days?

(NOT MY SHIZZLE)

I made 3 Senna helmets.  Check my website in my signature (link under this post)

You can do a simple spark test by turning if over with the plug out but connected and held against the fins of the head.  Hold it on the rubber end.  In low light you should see sparks.  I be done this test on, karts, pitbikes, and dirt bikes.  If you have spark than it must be the timing.

Do you mean the KT100? They sometimes dont fire right up immediately. You have to prime the carb and hand choke a little sometimes. Once it took almost 7 seconds on the handheld starter to get it going.  Also maybe your ignition system  is bad/poor timing?

Can you post what your katr.ini file shows. Do you get the same error when you dont overwrite an existing file and save as a new one?

There is no text in kart.ini that says replay

You have to add the text to the file.

If you want to add a suit to an existing paint use PaintEd from from the krp official site> downloads> PaintED. If your are starting a new suit you will need GIMP (free image editor) and the official templates also on the KRP downloads page. In painted do Paint read then extract the files to a folder put your suit in that folder.  Lastly open that directory in painted and pack the paint naming it at the bottom left and put in your bodywork>paints>(Specific type) If you don't have a body works folder in your krp install folder you have to extract the bodyworks.pkz folder with 7zip program or something similar.  Inside that folder you will see the others I mention.
If you have more question I'll answer.

Yes that is perfectly fine. I've  never heard of folders mysteriously deleting though.
