Quote from: HornetMaX on October 06, 2015, 01:20:21 PMI can see your thoughts, but i think this is more about PiBoSo's wrong decisions. I think it's clear now that we won't see the M6 bodywork as a public mod now, just because Ian was saying that these guys stole a mod without permission. I mean, this is not the first time that this group of people are nearly destroying the forum. Corrie himself even clearly showed that it is stolen by simple facrs without insulting anybody. What do you want more to see who is at fault here?
But where is the BIG problem if they have "stolen" the model ?
I mean, yes it's not right and yes it's very wrong to say they created it if they didn't, true.
But in the grand scheme of things, what is the big deal about that ? What are people searching for ? A punishment ?
Are you asking Piboso to be the "mod" police ? He clearly can't do that.
BTW, to me, the very idea to create a mod for KRP and then not distributing it to everybody is a bit disturbing.
Yes it's the creator's right to do so, but still ... In GPB, which has plenty of mods (dozens of bikes and more than 100 tracks) I've never ever seen a "private" mod.
Even more, once a mod is published, for me it is more or less public: if somebody wants to build on it (improve it, change it) I don't see any good reason not to allow him/her.
It would be polite to ask permission to the original author, but as far as there's no license (GPL, MIT or similar) attached to the creation, then ...
Final note: did the original creator of the model in question ask the permission to create it to the kart/engine maker ? Because you know, legally ...

but... it work?
1st off he's pulling the piss because you seem to be the forum's chief archeologist. And 2nd no plug in from 4+ betas ago works in B14 plug ins from B13 don't work in B14 until they are updated now ask yourself why would a post from 2012 with mostly inactive members have a link to an updated plug in? The answer is a resounding no, and it's going to remain that way. Same for the other post you commented on from a year and a half ago.
Quote from: HornetMaX on August 28, 2015, 12:32:30 PMI think that's what Ian means. But i guess what hes saying is that they would usually come with a new engine, because that's more likely than a "copy" of a standard kart.Quote from: DRkarter97 on August 27, 2015, 10:50:17 PMThe multiplayer won't exist even if you "connected a tyre mod to an engine" (whatever that means).
you're exactly right about that but the kart file has to be connected to an engine. Which is why im saying since no engine mod has them they dont exist. I suppose you could yes create a tire mod then explain to people how what needs to be edited in the kart cfg file for the mod to work but if they did manage to pull that off theyd probably be confused about why multiplayer doesnt exist
Steps to have new tyres (including online):
- Create new tyre model.
- Create a new "modded" kart and reference the tyre model from there. It could be a "copy" of an existing kart (only difference being the added tyre models).
- Install the "modded" kart on the server.
- Install the "modded" kart on the clients.
No manipulation of engines necessary.

What? What are you starting?
I can sense some attitude here,
It is not needed nor wanted in this forum.
You could have answered the question better if you had left out that last part.
Lets be realistic here.....do you actually want to see paints they have like 4 pixels on them? surely you understand what our good friend Ian is trying to say, I understand people like Alexll5 not being in anyway good at photoshop, but surely then can put time into them, to make them look at least half good, Jafeeeeel?
Quote from: DRkarter97 on August 12, 2015, 06:52:47 PM+1 There is a good tutorial by Corrie Hiatt for exactly this paint too and you still dont get it done properly. But as Ian said the suit looks pretty nice.
The whole thing looks like you painted over it with an opaque black and the white looks blue, its incredibly low resolution and half the stuff doesn't even line up right. Also if Alex115 has an account why must you post things hugo?. I guess if there is one good thing its that the suit is pretty nice.
