These are some nice cockpits guys. Evo sounds like you have some serious work but the idea sounds great.

I agree aireisor. Sitting at a computer desk just doesn't feel good. The seating position of a more realistic cockpit would add to the realism of racing sims.

This is the sort of thing i'm probably going to look into building as i also play other race sims but without going into building a replica f1 wheel (too much work/time).

I think it is the one that says 0.00 in rfactor wip (I dont think they updated there progress on the page) but I believe it was released as finished.

Im not sure if there is permission to convert it but im sure they would be happy for that to happen if they were contacted.

Kimbolton is a great track too so im looking forward to that

Does anyone have a Racing cockpit for driving games?

At the moment i'm just using a standard computer desk with my wheel on it but I want to get more of a realistic feel when driving sims.

Im thinking of building one and wondered if anyone has gone down this route because the racing seat set ups are very expensive.

My problems with converting this track are explained in the tracks conversion tutorial thread. I have tried re installing everything including 3ds max but still same problem.
This is why I asked if someone is able to convert it. I understand it takes time and I appreciate that but if someone is wiling to do it I will be most grateful.
It is a great track and would work well for online racing.

Any chance Clay Pigeon can be converted from rfactor. I have tried myself but without success. The rfactor track is basically there it just needs a few tweeks to be spot on. Mainly the pits/paddock

I hope to make it to this race. I'm really excited about the league starting up so count me in.

If i can't make it in time for practice i take it i can join during qualifying? as long as there is space in the server.

I am also experiencing the same problem Schwoni with 'Connection Timeout' but only on some servers. The dedicated servers are fine and some private servers are fine.

Anyone have any ideas how to get round this problem?

Yes i have the 32-bit version. Tried re-installing all and started the first steps of the tutorial again but still no luck.

I have 3ds max 2010 trial version and installed the 2010 plugin from the rfactor link in your tutorial.
In 3ds max it shows me the plugin as per your screenshots but the button to import a directory lets me select a folder then it wont load them in? Strange
Should i try to re install 3ds max & the plugin's?

Firstly thanks Racehard for your detailed guide to converting. I am in the process of attempting to convert a track from rfactor myself but have hit a stumbling block. I have the plug ins and scripts installed and have got to the point of importing the gmt's to the directory but when i hit 'Import a Directory' and choose the folder where the gmt's are stored nothing happens, nothing loads into 3ds max and i get no error messages. Could this be to do with the fact that i only have a trial version of 3ds max?

If not, any help to get me beyond this point would be much appreciated.

Hi there may be an obvious answer to this but i can't figure out how to post my lap times from testing onto the lap records list because i have pressed export but the don't show on the list.

Clay Pigeon would be good if someone can convert it. I had it on rfactor but it would be awesome on KRP

I would also like to see Forest Edge & Llandow tracks if anyone is willing to build them because I don't think they have been created for rfactor before.
