European league / Re: European League archive

Going to be fun. But i have a bad feeling about this. We still have some stability issues and so many drivers at the same time, its going to be crazy. I think that in the future, when the real championship starts, we will probably have to divide drivers in to different classes depending on their driving skills (or location). Lets say 8 drivers in each class. Just an idea. But lets race first and see what happens.  :)

I guess this happens if u are driving with an outdated version of the game. Watch the other thread u created, i have answered there.

Read the readme. Delete KRP installation folder (for example C:/Program files (x86)/Kart racing pro) and piboso folder in "documents" (but, then u are deleting your setups). There are no uninstall "button" like there are in other games, so u have to do it this way instead. Then download the new version and install it.

Virus maybe??

Man this sucks.

Very strange, makes no sense. What graphic card do u have? Does other games work as good as before?

Just reinstall it, should work.

I think we should do a test- race before we start the championship. Especially to make sure that everyone understands the race starting system. Has this been improved in beta 6?

You're right. About the start, you mean that DQ etc?

Yup.

for ur brake problems i use 69% pressure and so u can do nice short full brakes and it feel grat. Marco use only 35% so with this setting u can adjust it .

Today we tested close driving and it is really good now, if u overtake a bit harder so drift in the inside and touch the other side by side sometimes the other kart react a bit too much but no flying or something like that, only a bit too much out but we test more maybe i`m wrong.

Yes Schwoni I know that the braking pressure is adjustable ::) But even when lowering the pressure the back snaps a bit to sudden and violent to make it feel realistic. It should be a bit easier and more controllable to make the rear step out.  :)

There is no doubt, the kart handling is better :)

I 've edited the default set to less rear grip and less caster and the kart is very fun to drive. I wish to have better rear control when the tyres loose grip but I like the new beta :D

The shifter engine has a lot of RPM, doesn't it? 18000 is too much I think... I never see such madness. Once, at the Zuera WSK, First kart engine mechanic, got 16500 max RPM and the people around were stonished!

I agree, the kz engine is revving a bit too high.
And I would REALLY like to have more control when rear wheel braking with kf3 and kf1. Its so much easier in real life. I know its hard to make this perfect, we cant feel the g-forces and the speed like when driving in real life, but this is definitely the most important aspect physics wise. Otherwise it feels great.

On other forums there are suggestions to revert to older drivers.

Gonna start with downclocking the GPU, because ive had some problems before with stability, if that doesnt work im going to try the tip in the link.

"The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue.
The application must close."

This happens randomly. Does anyone know what to do? Seems like im the only one that experience this problem.

Windows 7 64-bit, GTX 570

:o

Did you do a clean install of KRP?
Which graphics drivers? Are they the latest official ones? If they are not, could you please try uninstalling the current ones and update them to the latest from nvidia.com?

Latest drivers to all hardware, always download drivers to GPU from nvidia.com, and I have the latest 296.10 drivers installed. Single GPU, not SLI. After trying to find some info it seems to be a problem that has nothing to do with the game itself, but I have never experienced it in any other game so im not sure.

Hmm I cannot find e3dlog.txt.

Beta 6 problem.

I have the latest drivers. Did a format of the harddrive about two weeks ago, and this was the first time I installed KRP after formating the drive. Temp. on GPU seems fine, never goes over 60 degrees celsius. Think I had the same problem in beta 5 but not sure.

SOLVED- Quick update just in case someone else would experience the same problem. Apparently this is a problem that occurs on any manufacturers 500 series card that has been factory overclocked. I bought my 570 little over a year ago and have experienced this problem in other games, but never in KRP. Anyway, its a low voltage issue that can produce crashes and display driver restarts. It has nothing to do with the game itself, manufacturers didnt set core voltage high enough.

Easiest way to solve it is to download MSI Afterburner and downclock the card; to use same settings as on a reference GPU. For a GTX570 thats 732 (MHz) core clock  and  1464 (MHz) shader clock.
Of course this will have a negative effect on performance, so another solution is to increase cole voltage. This isnt very hard to do, but it will create more heat and can destroy the card if your not careful.

Maybe you cant answer this, but how long is it until beta 6 is released? Days or weeks? No hurry but I did a format on the harddrive and wonder if i should download beta 5 and install, but that feels unnecessary if beta 6 is just around the corner.

Code and physics for Beta6 were closed 3 days ago, but release must be delayed until tracks will be ready.
At least 2 more days are needed.

Ok  :)
