Racing / Re: Hosting a race
March 27, 2014, 06:32:39 AM
Hosting a local race is run through your computer and is only available to people that are on your internet connection. For example if you had a couple friends come over and they brought kart racing pro they would be able to get on the server. Hosting a world race is also a connection from your machine, but anybody that is on kart racing pro can access the server. Although I recommend you set up a dedicated server if it is possible, for maximum performance.

Hi guys! I have a question: There will be a version ok Kart Racing Pro for Mac? And anyone knows what will be the waiting time?   :D

Thanks for your time!  :)

Barlo

There will be.
It's very low on the TODO list, though.

I know a lot of people that will run krp once it comes to mac.

I hope that it lives up to what it has been advertised as. I feel as if they are going to give up handling and physics for the "beauty factor". In my opinion, from the videos I have seen, the models aren't all that amazing at this point, and the chassis flex is over-exaggerated. If it supports modding, I will definitely buy and mod for it, but I think that KRP, if we can fix the bugged setups (30 hard axle being fastest in the full-sized kart) I think that the next focus should be graphical integrity of KRP. That's just my opinion. Plain and simple: as I see it now, it will have so many handling inaccuracies that will take away from the gameplay.

The one kartsim video was launched so long ago it doesnt show an accurate representation, and the 30 hard isnt the end all be all axle, because others can compete just fine with it.

Setups / Re: Making a Sim

Looks cool, but just one graphics card is not going to need a 1000 watt power supply, I have a gtx 660 and an intel 3570k and I use a 700w psu.

Suggestions and wishlist / Re: Front brake
March 13, 2014, 09:47:22 PM
+1 the new frontbrakes make the kf1 horrible to drive, if you tell us to not use the frontbrake, then we are way off the pace, but if we do use it, the brakes lock up every time we touch the front brake...

Get photoshop or gimp and give it a try, helmets are the easiest things to make imo.

david is saying he doesn't blame you lauZzZn he understands why you won't make mods for this awful "community"
Exactly.

If you spend so much of your own time creating a track why should you release it for free? In the real world, 3d modelling pays extremely well. £50 an hour or more in some cases, especially with 3DSMax. There are a lot of amateurs out there who release stuff for free and good on them. But there are also a lot of very skilled people out there who create high quality content, and why should they feel obliged to release stuff on the whim of the community who gives back nothing in return?

+1 he tells exactrlly that why i have stopped my Nola track ... in any case i can understand lauZzZn

I understand 100 % your reasoning, but for a game that you flip on curbs, it just isnt reasonable for someone to start charging money for a track, especially because leagues like SKWC cant run it because nobody will show up.

I live in ohio and best bet for you is to go down to circleville raceway park and do some laps there. http://www.msokc.org/ That is the club that runs there i used to run there a couple years back but now im running nationals.
