Bug reports / Data Mismatch Issue

In the past few days, I have tried to connect to a variety of sessions. A few have been successful, however, when I try to join servers, for the most part, I get a Data Mismatch, and I can't get in. I have tried 2 times completely uninstalling and reinstalling it with a fresh .exe and install, but that hasn't changed the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I thought it would be funny to run a new sticker kit for tomorrow's KZ1 race in the Sim Karting World Championship race at San Jose, and my team and I decided that we liked the idea of doing a parody of an existing sticker kit. This is based off of Nyck De Vries' sticker kit which he ran at Sarno (I believe). It is an "I don't like karting" sticker kit, just to play a little fun. It is about 10 minutes of work, so if the quality is bad for your tastes, well deal with it  ;D
All joking aside, it's quite funny and I am going to enjoy running it tomorrow with the Birel team during the race.

Hey guys, I've had a little bit of a break from school, and I was able to get GPS data and pictures from Sonoma Kart Circuit (Recently re-titled SimRaceway after they were bought out). It recently held the Rotax Challenge of the Americas, and has the largest Rotax club in the United States. Here are some WIP photos with the Rotax Junior MAX engine.

Paints / Resolution for Kart Paints

On the last couple of paints I have done, some of the results are a bit grainy and low-resolution when put in game. My graphics settings are all at highest, and the images I used were minimum of 1024x1024, so the actual images weren't too small, and edited to have solid colors, thus increasing resolution further. My question is, what is the limit/optimal resolution for a kart paint to show up very crisp, yet not so large in resolution that size starts to effect everything? I know that some of the time, just going up to 4096x4096 (like on my RK Kart and the mini60 Kosmic) helped it, but there wasn't a night and day difference. Any thoughts?

To preface this, I did very minimal modeling of the Las Vegas skyline. I want to present my newest project. Supernats has been the biggest "party" in karting for several years, and 2013 was no exception. As of now, the layout will stay the same as it was in 2012 and 2013, making my job very easy  :D :D

If all goes as planned, it will be ready a few months before the actual race, so that is the planned time of release.

It is a huge work in progress, so if anyone wants to model the barriers, send textures, model the pits/grid, the team tents for the event, it would be appreciated. On another note, the skyline is 3d modeled, so there may be a requirement of a somewhat decent computer to run it.

Support / Animation of Parts

I created a model of the cadet chassis for Birel. However, I am wondering how the animations are done on the chassis. Is the spindle/pedals/steering wheel similar to how airboxes mount on engines (ie. title the object of connection/animation in 3ds max as such specified in the cfg, or would I have to animate it myself. If it is required to animate, does the .edf file also support animation, or is there a separate tool that can be used to put in as a .anim/different file? Thanks for any responses!

Not complete, so it will get updates, as they come.
New update:
*More grip (BASPH)
*Kerbs have KERB prefix
*Minor texture updates (sketchup has one-way objects, lots of work in 3ds max.

Planned features:
The bridge must be fixed!
Extended layout + layout with bridge
3d inside kerbs (the won't grip flip you)
Full textures + fix one-way textures.

How should you go about creating a track map for KRP?

What a challenge it has been releasing this package within my personal deadline. It has been in the making for over 3 months now, so I'm sure that all of you are just as anxious as I am to see this package reach the level it has. As a one-man (not quite, Ian Bushey (DrKarter97), fmaisonnave, and LauZzZn have helped so much) mod team, it has been really difficult to develop this, race Rotax, and get school work out of the way. And I couldn't have done it without the help of Ian Bushey, LauZzZn, Sam Flintham, Corey Hayes, Jaden Conwright, fmaisonnave, and PiBoSo, for without him, none of this would have been possible. The development has taken a significant time, but these 3 engines are all at a point where there is very little that is inaccurate, right down to the "Turbo" on the Senior and Junior. And I'm looking for a lot of good feedback from this. I want to see this get even more accurate, just like I'm sure that you all want to, and without the help of the community, we can't improve.
What we'll see in Beta 0.5:

If you want to have the Junior/Senior sounds on the mini, take the engine.scl, and all sounds, and copy from Junior/Senior folder to the Mini Folder.

As I have finalized my model for the Mini Max, as well as the dyno information, shall we run the full-sized or cadet chassis for the Mini?
Vote... I will do both, but I may only release one.

Bug reports / Shading Issue

I have no easy way to explain what has happened, but when KRP is open, the preview of the kart is a bit odd. The shadows are funky both on the track and in the viewer. It happens on all karts, and I have uninstalled twice with no success. Can anybody help me troubleshoot this?

Other Addons / Rotax Max 125 Junior MAX

I have been testing this for a bit, and I just finally found a low-quality 3d model for the Rotax. This is the physics for the Junior MAX and has a 3d model that isn't made by me. MRO is making the amazing model, and I will be releasing this again when he finishes. Thanks to fmaisonnave for finding the model, and to PiBoSo for all of the help he has given me along the way. It is truly awesome to be a part of this community and have such a great relationship with all of you.

**Edit** The disappearing bug has been solved, and an airbox has been added to the 3d model. Model is now much smoother, and has a battery.

All textures on this are made by me, I did very little 3d work on this. I imported this into KRP. There is a bug where the engine will disappear suddenly when a driver is more than 10 feet away. Also, airboxes don't work on this engine. I don't know how to fix it, so if anybody knows, feel free to message me. Again, you guys rock, and I am blessed to be in this great community. Thanks guys!

Paints / Birel 2011 Anniversary Release

Hey guys. I'm really sorry that there has been very minimal work done in terms of paints in the last few months from me. All of my projects were postponed until school settled down. It's finally that time, and I am proud to say that this is the release of the paint.



It was quite a lot of fun to make this paint, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of everybody on this wonderful karting simulator. Thanks so much!

Guess what I saw today in KRP?

Hello! I have recently looked into just playing around with the engine/chassis combinations. I am wondering why when I put the mini 60 engine on the Birel KF3 chassis, why it appears on the opposite side. Instead of being on the right rear side, it is on the left front side.
The physics work as if it is mounted in the correct place, meaning that the power isn't being put down by the front wheels. Is there some way that I can change the 3d model's orientation to fit it on? Thanks for the support in advance!

Paints / Kosmic 2-Kart Mini 60 Re-Release

As per the request and gracious donation of graphics by LauZzZn, I now release a Kosmic 2012 skin for the Mini-60. This is an updated version with less saturated colors, and the silver trimming that isn't in my previous download. I will put both downloads just in case somebody wants the old one. Thanks once again to LauZzZn for supplying me with the graphics from his full-sized kart. Sorry to everybody who has been waiting on my projects, I have been really busy as of lately and my projects haven't taken priority, so look forward to upcoming releases that are just around the corner.
Now for the download link, because most people don't want to read that stuff  ;)

Paints / 2012/2013 RK Racing Kart Teaser [WIP]

Along with Kevin Thor, I am proud to announce that we will be releasing a brand new version of the RK Racing Kart by Birel. The project is nearly 90% done right now, and is very steadily heading for a release this week! I will attach some teaser screenshots to this post, and an official release will come for full-size karts this week, while a skin for the mini will be released either this week or next.
