Documentation / Client Port
January 01, 2021, 10:54:55 PM
It is possible to change the port used when connecting to a server, using the "-clientport" launch parameter:
kart.exe -clientport (port)
For example:
kart.exe -clientport 54411
The default port is 54410

This option can be useful, for example, when multiple PCs on a local network need to connect to the same server.

Hi all,
this is the only solution ??
Have got same problem ...
Install Kart Racing Pro release11 works fine....but all version after doesn't work...nothing in task manager.
I've try with Steam install, because I've got KRP licence, but same as Berni-Wan, click on play, wait 5 sec and disappears...nothing in task manager.
Try to uninstall openal, uninstall krp, reboot, install openal, reboot, install krp.... same problem.
All others softwares work fine on my PC, all other steam game work fine, graphic drivers updated...
I've got a lot of programs so I don't want to format my PC just because a update software doesn't work...I play only with release11 's not a solution because can't play online with friends :(

Please, anyone have a solution ?

General Discussion / Re: Replay settings after updates
October 02, 2020, 11:50:25 AM
Most settings, including the replay size, have been moved to the "global.ini" file in the "Documents"/PiBoSo/Kart Racing Pro/ folder, to avoid being overwritten during an update.

Other Addons / Kart and bodywork registration
August 31, 2020, 02:38:52 PM
Starting with Kart Racing Pro release11f, it is possible to register karts and bodyworks to have best laps and other statistics recorded.

Kart

1) Enable physics debug mode: http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=6335.0

2a) The kart folder must be unpacked, not a PKZ file.
2b) While on track in testing mode, press Left Ctrl + K to generate a new "registration.bin" file ( in the kart folder ) and a code.
2c) The kart ID ( the kart folder name ) and code should be saved in the "kart.txt" file in the Kart Racing Pro installation directory.
2d) Please save the code to a safe place, so it can be used for updates.

3) Register the kart at http://stats.kartracing-pro.com/kartreg.php
"Prev. Kart Code" is only used to update the data and must be left empty when registering the kart for the first time.

4) Finalize the registration completing at least a lap on a "World" server or dedicated server.

5) Pack the mod for release, making sure to include the "registration.bin" file.

6a) If any of the elements of the kart ( chassis, engine, tyres ) is changed, then the registration must be updated, using the old code.
6b) If the name or category need to be changed, it is possible to re-use the same code in "Prev. Kart Code", without the need to generate a new one ( steps 1 and 2 ) and re-release the mod ( step 5 ).

Bodywork

1) Enable physics debug mode: http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=6335.0

2a) The bodywork folder must be unpacked, not a PKZ file.
2b) While on track in testing mode, press Left Ctrl + B to generate a new "registration.bin" file ( in the bodywork folder ) and a code.
2c) The bodywork ID ( the bodywork folder name ) and code should be saved in the "bodywork.txt" file in the Kart Racing Pro installation directory.
2d) Please save the code to a safe place, so it can be used for updates.

3) Register the bodywork at http://stats.kartracing-pro.com/bodyworkreg.php
"Prev. Bodywork Code" is only used to update the data and must be left empty when registering the bodywork for the first time.

4) Finalize the registration completing at least a lap on a "World" server or dedicated server.

5) Pack the mod for release, making sure to include the "registration.bin" file.

6) If any of the elements of the bodywork ( front bumper, rear bumper, sidepods ) is changed, then the registration must be updated, using the old code.
