The behaviour of the kart on 3D kerbs has been improved. Work is in progress to fix the issue.

The question is, why is the kart racing pro content so out dated, crg, birel, otk have all had two new chassis models by now and new bodyworks and also the kf1 and kf3 class is now a thing of the past

It would require a lot of investments to constantly keep the chassis and bodyworks up to date.
This is where modders could help.

FWIW, I've solved the crashing problem by commenting out this function:

Well well, it is an rather old thread, but after all I was asking the very same question myself for some days now as I would like to model a local track.

Can anybody please reply if Blender is an option besided BTB and 3DSMax?
Blender is "free" and it would be great if would be possible.

It should be possible exporting to FBX and then using the FBX2EDF converter in the track tools.

Thanks for your help. I've installed the game on 2 gaming PCs and experience the same. Lap Timer not working. However, if I change the view to outside the Kart then the pop-up Lap Timer on the screen does show the time, temperature etc. But I want to race from within the kart and see the lap timer working.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately at the moment there is an incompatibility between Kart Racing Pro and the Intel OpenGL drivers.
If your PC has a dedicated graphics card, too, please make sure the high-performance processor is assigned to Kart Racing Pro.

A workaround is to enable "Show HUD" in Kart Racing Pro -> Settings -> Simulation

No solution?

The example does not work without crashing.

Steps to reproduce:

Compiling latest example as DLL with DLO extension and placing in plugin folder. 

Crashes when clicking ToTrack in KRP release 4.

No crash here with the compiled example.
What compiler are you using? Are you compiling as C? Is the integer size 32 bits? Is the struct member alignment 8 bytes?

The kerbs are still modeled in 3D to be realistic and as a reminder that the simulation needs to be improved.
The issue is under investigation and hopefully it will be fixed in time for the next update.

The kart behaviour on the wet track is a known issue, due to a limitation of the tyre model.

If the settings are not saved, please try add an exception for Kart Racing Pro in Windows Defender and/or Avast.
