This is a problem with no perfect solution.
When in neutral and using the "push" control, it's an easy change to go in first gear.
But when in first gear and using the "pull" control, should it go in neutral or in second gear? In real life neutral is in between, but shift is a digital control and you would have no feedback anyway.

liveforspeed for his mrt5 use this

-car is in neutral
-press the clucth and push the stick and the car is in first gear
now....
1 - if i have the car stopped or is belowe of 5 km/h, pull the stick and the gear go in neutral
2 - if the car is over 5km/h the gear goes in second

other situation
the car is in second gear
- push the stick the gear goes alway in first gear, even if the car is stopped.
in my opinion should have work as above

i think this is a good solution, in real life for going from first to second we dont' have to move two times the gear level, and when we are stopped we want for sure go in neutral

It could be an improvement over current system, but still far from being perfect.
Opinions?
If there is a general consensus on this solution it will be done for next release.

Still a bit irritating:
Real KZ2: From neutral to first gear you have to push the lever, second and up you have to pull (works like a motor bike gearbox).
KRP: From neutral to first gear you also have to pull.

This is a problem with no perfect solution.

Plugins / Proxy plugin
May 28, 2011, 06:21:02 PM
Kart Racing Pro integrates a "proxy" plugin.

Opening KRPProxyObject

g_hMapFile = OpenFileMapping(FILE_MAP_READ,FALSE,"Local\\KRPProxyObject");
void *pBuf = MapViewOfFile(g_hMapFile,FILE_MAP_READ,0,0,sizeof(SProxyData_t));

external programs can read Kart Racing Pro output data.

The source code and data structure are available here: http://www.kartracing-pro.com/downloads/krp_proxy.c

PiBoSo is it possible for you to make a permanent dedicated server for everyone to join, set by you? And you could make a series and timetable just like other websites are doing for this great game. Even create a few for different regions so one here for Australia, One for America and UK etc.

Cheeres, Arrow

It will be possible when linux porting will be completed.

Thanks everyone for testing. Server will be back tomorrow.

but now : pitlane full
same problem, and is the same problem that i have in my Drivingitalia dedicated server

"Pitlane full" bug should now be fixed. Server updated.
Please keep testing.

In the list of servers you should see a "PiBoSo Test".
If possible please join and drive on it as much as you can to help debugging.

Documentation / Re: multi-monitor

Thank you for your test.
Are multi-monitor settings working correctly?
Is rendering correct on all monitors, with proper bezel compensation?

Thank you very much for the feedback and for the video.
Could you please open core.ini file in Kart Racing Pro installation directory and change NoPBO from 1 to 0? It should improve performance a bit.

Bug reports / Re: driver ratio and speed
May 26, 2011, 01:02:52 AM

Speed in garage is an estimate. You may not be able to reach that speed because of aerodynamic and rolling resistance.

After yellow line it is possible to accelerate, but still in the corridor.
why in lonato there are 2 yellow lines? the first is about 200, 300 hundred meters before start line

The yellow line used for rolling starts has a cone on left and right side.

Hi, I have 1280x1024 + 1680x1050 + 1280x1024 monitors
*and C2D E8400 + HD4890 + HD5450 Win7 Ent. x64
and I am usually using SoftTH.
When I set resolutions above, got 15 FPS.
and,
800x600 + 1280x800 + 800x600 was also 15 FPS.
1280x1024 + 1680x1050 + 1280x1024 was 8 FPS.

Thank you for the feedback.
FPS drop is a know problem, that will be addressed in the next release.
Except for performance, are you happy with results? Is triple-monitor working correctly?
Do you need changes?
