Hi, there seems to be a pretty good version of this track for rFactor2. In case you are interested, here is a link: https://gokartedzes.hu/elerheto-a-slovak-karting-center-az-rfactor2-hoz/

Track Editing / Re: AC to KRP track conversion
April 16, 2024, 06:46:59 PM
Quote from: chaps15 on April 16, 2024, 10:00:58 AMI wanted to ask if this would be possible/easy?

Hi, yeah, the track can be converted to KRP. You can do it in 3DSimEd, it's basically all about renaming objects and, if necessary, adjusting textures as required by the Track Creation Guide (if you have already done a track in BTB, you are familiar with the workflow).

The only thing is, Mitja Bonca, the author, specifically asks not to modify his work in any way without his permission, so maybe the best course of action would be to contact the guy and talk to him about compiling a KRP version of the track :)

Track Editing / Re: Error when converting to .MAP
April 02, 2024, 02:35:54 PM
Quote from: fred green on April 02, 2024, 11:49:03 AMWould it help if i sent the .fbx file so you can see if there are any problems?

When exporting to the FBX format, try to save everything to a new folder (e.g. C:\export) and see if it helps to resolve the issue. If that doesn't help, send me a personal message with links to .FBX and all textures and I'll have a look.

Check your textures. Do they all meet the requirements specified in https://docs.piboso.com/wiki/index.php?title=Track_Creation_Guide ?

General Discussion / Re: Steering wheel setup
March 30, 2024, 02:52:38 PM
Quote from: SSRacing on March 30, 2024, 01:39:29 AMthere are also setting files left in steam folder after the uninstall, so if anyone in the future finds themselves in need of resetting settings completely, you'd need to delete those as well.

Just a few things to note.

Normally, the game doesn't keep any user-defined settings in ..\SteamApps\common\Kart Racing Pro folder as it may be changed/overwritten during the game update or a Steam's file verification process. After the uninstall, among the leftovers, are usually just a couple of log files, which don't affect anything, but yes, they can be safely deleted too.

However, it's better to be cautious when deleting things, as there may be some other folders left, like tracks, for example. Though it's recommended to keep all mods in ..\Documents\PiBoSo\Kart Racing Pro\mods folder for the above reason, it's still possible to store them in the game installation directory.

Quote from: SSRacing on March 29, 2024, 07:02:35 PMit's steering assist.

Hi, first of all, the post you're quoting is almost 9 years old (and it's about a FFB issue in the old beta 13b version). Secondly, I've never heard of a steering assist function in KRP. There is a 'Steer Speed Sensitivity' option in Settings > Input tab (which should normally be disabled) and 'Corner Anticipation' in the Simulation tab (only simulates the head movement, not linked to steering). The game settings, by the way, are stored in ..\Documents\PiBoSo\Kart Racing Pro\profiles folder.

Quote from: pol on March 22, 2024, 12:30:10 AMI have tried to put the following folders into respective zip files, but I do not see any club100 karts there.

Hi, please note that the original post is almost 10 years old. This mod doesn't seem to be compatible with the current KRP build.

Besides, in case you are using a Steam version of the game, the best place for mods is ..\Documents\PiBoSo\Kart Racing Pro\mods folder. It's not advisable to edit PKZ files as they will be overwritten by Steam during the integrity check or a game update.

Track Editing / Re: trp file not changing
March 21, 2024, 11:55:48 PM
In fbx2edf tool, you need to create 2 files - .MAP (in the settings, Type: Map) and .TRP (Type: Collision). "Map file write" message indicates that you're creating the .MAP file. Now select Type: Collision, change the file name to yourtrackname.trp and press Save. The tool will create the TRP file to be used in TrackEd.
