I dont know about the visor but for roll overs it could be a simple ragdoll with camera inside the helmet... it would give an awesome sense of immersion

right if it is a little delayed who cares but in the future when the game is starting to get epic it could be one of these final tweeks

For the animation you could have the hand off the steering when rpms are close to right and move the lever when commanded.
