Saw a race yesterday where the game gave several drivers penalties during the Prefinal, that were just lag glitches. This caused an incorrect order for the start of the Final.

Admins should be able to remove penalties at their discretion.

Please consider this for future builds.

THANKS!!

I've been watching the development of the SpaceX Starship program over the last few months.

For those who aren't aware of the incredible things this group is doing, here is their latest accomplishment.

This is only the third test flight for this platform. Keep in mind the scale of this vehicle. It is approximately 150' / 46 meters tall.

This is (IMO) a true testament to what entrepreneurs can accomplish when they get government out-of-the-way.

General Discussion / Replay file size limit
November 16, 2020, 09:37:56 PM
I can't remember if this specific question has been brought up on this forum or not? Forgive me if it has and point me in the right direction.

It appears that the limit for saving replays is 500MB. Several series with 20+ entries are not able to save single race sessions (i.e. qualifying or prefina or final) unless they save partially through the single session, meaning two qualifying replays, two prefinal replays, etc for each race meeting. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the maximum that can be captured? And if it is, can it be increased? We all have our global/replay set well above 500.

THANKS!

General Discussion / Replay settings after updates
October 01, 2020, 10:58:27 PM
So apparently when we get updates it deletes the replay settings we add to the global.ini file? Is that correct?

And I'm told updates also delete other "added" files?

Any info appreciated.

Racing / Masters / 30+ age drivers
September 29, 2020, 08:47:37 PM

I am wondering how many drivers over the age of 30 currently race or would race KRP if they had a "Masters" category available? Asking for a friend.  ::)

Support / Replay issue
August 23, 2020, 08:16:33 PM
I am having a strange situation. I have two computers. One I use only for gaming. The other is used daily for everything. I have KRP installed on both, and both show that they are on release 11F.

When I have a replay that I want to upload to Youtube I send the replay file from the gaming computer using gmail. I then open the email on my "daily use" computer, download the file to my KRP/replays file, then run the file and record it using GEForce Experience. I then use GEForce to upload the recording to Youtube. I don't want GEForce on my gaming computer because it is very buggy.

Yesterday I ran a test session on the gaming computer and then sent the replay file to my "daily use" computer via gmail. I opened the email, downloaded the file. But the game doesn't "see" the file? There are other files on the "daily use" computer, and the game sees them and plays them with no problem. But when I click on "Replay" in the game list it only shows the previous files, not the ones I loaded yesterday?

The only difference in the files is that the files that show were created in a racing session, and the file that is not showing was created in a test session.

Any advice appreciated.

General Discussion / Windowed in VR?
August 18, 2020, 03:23:35 PM
Is it no possible to use windowed mode in VR?

Right now it appears I have to exit the game to access the desktop while in VR? Is this correct?

I have Valve Index.

THANKS!!

General Discussion / Incident Notification
August 08, 2020, 08:01:37 PM
Does the current release of KRP have an "incident notification" function? Meaning, if a kart has wheels off the track, or has contact with another kart, it can be identified for marshalling purposes?

If not, is it difficult to create this?

Forgive my ignorance. Coming from iRacing and not at all familiar with this kind of sim platform.

THANKS!

Suggestions and wishlist / VR Windowed Mode
July 10, 2020, 07:37:21 PM
Maybe I'm just missing how to do this, but very frustrating that I cannot access my desktop while in VR?

Do I really have to quit the game to access my desktop in VR?

I'm on Index.

THANKS!!

General Discussion / Rubber Buildup in Testing
July 06, 2020, 02:25:10 AM
I've done searches but can't find any details regarding adjusting the amount of rubber build-up in testing sessions.

I've read in another forum that you can adjust it in the .ini file?

Where? How?

THANKS!! 😊

Support / New Member / Replays / File and Folders
June 14, 2020, 10:09:29 PM
Hello all,

Newbie here. ALL my sim experience has been with iRacing, where all the file downloads, etc are automated, so coming to this style of sim is proving a challenge, but I'm determined to figure this thing out. Love driving the sim, but am really struggling with how to find / download / use content.

My specific question in this thread is how to watch replay files? Both files I've created myself and saved using the in-sim tool, and replay files I've downloaded from other sources / forums.

See attached two separate folders I've found that have content files. This is part of my confusion. Some are in my c:documents folder and some are in the Steam Local Files folders.

As you can see, there are some files in the c:documents:PiBoSo:KartRacingPro:replays folder. I've watched many of those files in the past. But now when I go into KRP and open the Replay link, it doesn't show any files available?

I also just downloaded a replay file from a KRP League Discord Channel. I saved it to both the Steam and the C:documents folders, and it does not appear in the KRP Replay link.

Any help GREATLY appreciated.
