It is winter here and I did not want to leave the kart sitting in the shop, so what better thing to do? Get out some screws, an old set of tires, shovel off the lake, and have stupid amounts of fun.

General Discussion / Eliminate the hand of god!!

All of the BS that DQs drivers on the formation lap needs to stop. Speeding, corridor lane crossing etc. Those that like it because of the realism great. Then lets get rid of the hand of god that reaches down and pulls you off the track, aka kicks you to the pits. Make things real, use the flags just like in real life, black flag etc... You do not see race directors running out on track and physically removing karts that were speeding on the formation lap. Let the race go on and use the real life system of flags to let drivers know of infractions. The game is very frustrating to play when some minor glitch in someone connection destroys the whole start/race.

General Discussion / How do the stats work?

How exactly are your stats calculated? It looks like you have to do 10 races before you get a rating. What determines if a race is used in the stats? I did two races tonight I finished second out of 2 and had the fastest lap of each race. Yet neither race showed up on my stats when you click my name and my rating did not change? If they did I would have 3 fastest laps in Mini60 not one. Do drivers that drop out of a race count as someone you beat? I had a few races today that started with 5 drivers but by the end there were only two of us? Just trying to figure out exactly how I can improve my rating. 

Another thing I noticed on the records page is some of my times have a + for hardcore mode and others do not. Yet I have not changed any of my aids settings.

Okay time for some racing even if no one is online.

What you do is host a race at any track you chose. Set the race distance to 30% weather conditions to clear, 68F/20C air temp, dry track, no wind. Then you can go practice or qualify to get some rubber on the track. When you are ready, start the final. After you finish the race post up your time here. Tell us the track, kart, race time. I will try and update the results as they come in, moderators feel free to update the results as well. If you want to include lap times and other info please feel free to share them. Times in red I know to be 100% real. I would ask for people to show a screenshot of the race analysis showing the lap times but every time I have tried it I just get a black picture.

Bug reports / Stats page not recording finishes

I am not sure if this is an actual bug but if you are in a race and win but the others retire before you take the checkered flag it is like it never happened. I have and 2-3 wins the past few days but since on the last lap or two the others saw they were to far back or spun in a last effort they retire. Then according to the stats webpage the race never happened. It is very annoying not getting credit for a win because the others retire from the race instead of finishing.

Suggestions and wishlist / More events/time trials?

Are there plans to add in racing events to KRP? It would be nice to have events with different karts at different tracks to race when others are not online. Let the events run a week or a month then take everyone's results to see the finishing order at the end. We could even have a championship that runs the majority of the year.

I am new to KRP coming from other simulators like Simraceway and Virtual RC PRO. Each of these simulators have a strong community of racing more then just multiplayer online. This is the one thing I see KRP lacking right now. So far the rest of the simulator is great.
