Track Editing / Default deformation
« on: March 25, 2018, 10:57:06 PM »
If creating a dirt track using heightmaps, it is possible to save the deformation generated on the terrain and use it as the track default.

1) Open the file kart.ini in the KRP installation folder and add the following lines:
Code: [Select]
[edit]
deformation=1
2) Drive several laps in testing mode on a track to create the deformation ( it's possible to use deformation_multiplier to generate it faster )
3) Press left ctrl + d: a file named temp.dfm will be saved in the KRP installation folder
4) Rename temp.dfm to track_id.dfm ( for example: oval.dfm ) and move it to the proper track folder, with the matching TRH file
5) KRP should automatically read the dfm file at track load time

Documentation / VR Support
« on: July 14, 2017, 11:26:06 AM »
When installing Kart Racing Pro a desktop shortcut named "Kart Racing Pro - VR" should be created.
It launches KRP with the "-vr" command line switch, that enables VR support.

If both a Rift and a Vive are installed on the same PC, it's possible to force Oculus using the "-vro" switch, and SteamVR using "-vrs".

In Kart Racing Pro -> Settings -> Input3 it's possible to set the control to reset the VR camera tracking. The default key is F8. It resets the position and rotation of the user interface virtual screen, too.

By default, the rendering of both eyes is mirrored to the KRP window.
It is possible to change the mirroring setting creating a text file called oculus.ini or openvr.ini in the KRP installation folder and adding the following lines:
Code: [Select]
[mirror]
eye = 2
The possible values are:
-1: mirroring disabled
0: left eye
1: right eye
2: both eyes

If the Windows Taskbar overlaps the KRP window preventing the cursor from reaching the bottom of the user interface, please try right clicking on the shortcut icon and, in the Properties, selecting Run Maximised.

Known Bugs
- HTC Vive ( SteamVR ): transparent asphalt in the user interface

General Discussion / Forum behaviour
« on: March 16, 2016, 06:15:10 PM »
I keep coming back to the forum because watching this game is like watching a fuse burn down on a collection of explosives with the final product either being taddzy as global mod or this game finally dieing. And what connor said was all true just worded in a harsh way as a cheeky way of proving the point that I wasn't being harsh.

It looks like you have no plans to contribute to the project and are here just to troll.
No need for you to still have a forum account, right? You can keep reading and have fun even as a guest.
If this is the case, then your account and all your messages will be deleted.

Edit:
DrKarter97 account and messages deleted.
