General Discussion / Re: US 4 stroke

There is a Briggs 206 League. They don't race very often, and when they do it's just a "hey, who wants to race in one hour" kinda thing. U.S. based.
Nice mod, though.

Have you seen the Wheel/Pedal Setup Guide in Steam?

Does your wheel and pedals show up together or separately in the "Controller Profile" dropdown?

It's been a while since I set my system up. G27 and Fanatec CSPV3 pedals. I had to do the config in a specific order or it would just delete my wheel config. Don't remember which I had to do first.

Hope this helps.

SKM X30 World Championship, round three, tomorrow April 20.

Saw a race yesterday where the game gave several drivers penalties during the Prefinal, that were just lag glitches. This caused an incorrect order for the start of the Final.

Admins should be able to remove penalties at their discretion.

Please consider this for future builds.

THANKS!!

I've been watching the development of the SpaceX Starship program over the last few months.

For those who aren't aware of the incredible things this group is doing, here is their latest accomplishment.

This is only the third test flight for this platform. Keep in mind the scale of this vehicle. It is approximately 150' / 46 meters tall.

This is (IMO) a true testament to what entrepreneurs can accomplish when they get government out-of-the-way.

Racing / Re: Masters / 30+ age drivers

Here are some server invite links:

This one is to a South African based series. This is the series I just started racing. We had seven drivers in the Masters category and they expect more for the next rounds. Masters race on KF3, fixed setup.

https://discord.gg/3YBU4bgu

This one is to OKC, a Euro based series. They don't currently offer Masters but if we get a couple more 30+ drivers they will add the category. They race the IAME X30, open setup.

https://discord.gg/htVesTVM

This one is to SKM, a U.S. based series. They don't currently offer Masters but if we get a couple more 30+ drivers they will add the category. They race the IAME X30, open setup.

https://discord.gg/RJbR9n4B

This one is to a new Superkart series that races 250cc Twin on full-size tracks. The kart is a bit quirky but the tracks are brilliant! Open setup.

This is a Euro based Cadet series. They race the Mini 60, fixed setup.

Hope to see you soon....

Racing / Re: Masters / 30+ age drivers

I just finished a race that is organized by a South African series. We had seven drivers in the Masters class (for drivers 30+)

If you are on Discord there are MANY series racing on a regular basis. Just do a search on Kart Racing Pro on Discord.

Let me know if I can help.

Setups / Re: Setup KZ1

Quote from: Ivan Rud'ko on March 03, 2020, 01:20:21 AMGeneral-->Engine-->Idle - Does this setting affect the efficiency of the motor on the move? If it is 0 or 5 - what difference will the engine make?

I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I've tested it and found no appreciable performance gain.

On karts with a clutch/gearbox I set it to a number that allows the engine to keep running even if I remove any input to the throttle. I know of no performance gain found in this setting. Maybe someone can enlighten us both?

Quote from: Ivan Rud'ko on March 03, 2020, 01:20:21 AMCarburetor - As I understand it, the lower the number, the more efficient the engine works, but the greater the risk of overheating the motor?

That is mostly correct. Most everyone just set's it at 2.

Quote from: Ivan Rud'ko on March 03, 2020, 01:20:21 AMRadiator cover - What is do this setting?

This moves the cover over the radiator to increase the coverage (decrease airflow/increase temperature) or decrease coverage (increase airflow/reduce temperature). The lower the percentage the more airflow/lower temperature. The higher the percentage the less airflow/higher temperature.

Quote from: Ivan Rud'ko on March 03, 2020, 01:20:21 AMChassis-->Front hubs and Rear hubs - Increasing or decreasing the size of the hubs-does the behavior of the machine change?

Yes, longer hubs increase grip

Quote from: Ivan Rud'ko on March 03, 2020, 01:20:21 AMAnd what is Mg and Al - the hub metal material?  Magnesium alloy or Aluminum?

Yes. Magnesium is stiffer than aluminum. There is also a heat exchange component that could effect tire pressure/temperature, but I've never been convinced it can make enough difference to consider it.

YMMV

Hello,
I just logged into KRP and the menu's that normally appear when I click on the thumbtacks are not opening? I can't manipulate the individual attributes of each function? (map, speed, timing, etc)

I am on version 2.2.1

THANKS!

General Discussion / Replay file size limit
November 16, 2020, 09:37:56 PM
I can't remember if this specific question has been brought up on this forum or not? Forgive me if it has and point me in the right direction.

It appears that the limit for saving replays is 500MB. Several series with 20+ entries are not able to save single race sessions (i.e. qualifying or prefina or final) unless they save partially through the single session, meaning two qualifying replays, two prefinal replays, etc for each race meeting. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the maximum that can be captured? And if it is, can it be increased? We all have our global/replay set well above 500.

THANKS!

Support / Re: Replay cameras

OK, thanks guys. I've downloaded and unzipped TrackED. I've opened a track in TrackED. I've tried to follow the linked instructions but it appears TrackED has been altered since the OP? Nothing happens when I follow some instructions, and there are additional options in the selection areas not listed in the instructions.

Any chance someone wants to work with me on the first cam creation? I want to create a camera that allows an "overview" of the entire, or large portions of a track for marshaling purposes.

Any help appreciated.
