Like I said I am not familiar with 3ds, um try to join the
2 objects together( this should allow you to play with the vertices at the same time) , then weld the vertices, then separate  to be two different objects again

You can layout a pit just like you did the track, then connect the vertices(weld) then when all is good go in a separate the access lanes from your track so they are different objects- this will also make it easier to texture, since most pit lanes and access look a little different texture wise :)

ps. This used to happen a lot when mapping a sky texture to a dome etc. flip the normals was always the ticket-:)

If you are viewing texture from wrong side then it could be you need to normalize the normals or recalculate the normals (basically what direction the vertices are pointing)  I wish I could help you more but 3ds is just not my thing (blender artist)

RAinsuit would be cool- with a plastic like shader so you could see your real suit underneath- I could model that quick if I had the original driver model-

I would like to see some 4 cycle clone motors 6.5 hp or 13.5 hp getting big in the USA anyway-  if we had a 6.5 engine I would model a yard kart for some (le-mons) type action :)

Ok I checked Blender and it does have the FBX exporter- after that what do you do with the FBX file ?  I have numerous models for track creation ready to go- barriers tires pavement flags etc etc but I can't get out of my blender box lol ahhhhhhhh ???

Ok finally got the prost helmet to appear in the helmet paints but I can not get my .pnt file to show up- ( had to switch sk6 visor to just sk6)
Downloaded template created a tga file opened in painted packed it but its not showing up at all- this is very frustrating!!!! help someone!

ok I created these folders driver\helmets\sk6\paints and put in a Prost helmet but nothing
I then put it in the bodyworks/paints/tk folder and got it to show up when I put the paint scheme on Prost and the Helmet scheme on BASE
I tried that with a pnt file I did and got only a white helmet hmmm
Any help this is driving me nuts and I assume this is the easy part lol

Ok I do not see where to input my pnt. files I am a 3d artist and graphic designer plus kart racer- I decided to make some really nice helmets schemes but have no idea where to place them I opened my KRP directory after purchasing but all I see are pkz files and a few others please help! and yes I read the instructions but that did not help!
