I have KRP on Windows 8.1 , and he work perfectly ! ;)

With what wheel, though? The issue only seems to effect Logitech and Fanatec users?

If you have either and yours is working, you may be able to be more constructive and help Piboso solve the issue.....

please don't take that as a personal moan aimed at you in a nasty way with the "month a go" bit. All it is, is a longing to race :) I wish you all the best in fixing it up

Thank you very much. Is their much handling difference (Can't test right now). They all seem pretty similar as guys set a myriad of times in each?

Hey guys.
There is a group of us that are starting to play Kart Racing Pro more and more. We did an evening of testing and were wondering something. I locked the server to the KF3 type Kart but we noted that they had prefixes to them. B KF3, C KF3, T KF3.

What do these mean?

Sorry if posted elsewhere. We are all new to karting, just enjoying it!

The fatal flaw of the whole setup is that it's not possible to see the surrounding environment: no additional controllers / buttons and no keyboard. This is a serious limitation for a simulator, but there is probably no solution.

I have heard from many sources that the retail version will have a forward facing camera allowing you to switch and see what's actually in front of you.

My personal experience is that the dev kit looked pretty terrible, Gave me eye strain and made me moderately sick.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to testing the full consumer version when it finally arrives.

Track Editing / Re: My first attempt at a track

I tried to export today. I can see my track so far in the map viewer but nothing shows in the "tracked" program, even when exporting and saving the .trp file. Any ideas?

looks good. when you need help you can watch my tutorials or ask me ;)

Watched a few mate. The modelling side of things I am more than comfortable with. I just know that the texturing is going to make or break anything I create.

I like your tutorials but just wanted to say, I liked the one where you talked through it, curbs, I think? Very informative and helped lots!

Track Editing / My first attempt at a track

Hey guys,

I am fairly new to this community and thought I would share this. I am embarking upon the task of creating my first track. This is now a defunct circuit from Reading, UK. It was suggested by a member of my website.

I have messed around with creating a track for rFactor 1 before. I am much more accustomed to Cinema 4D than 3DS Max, In fact, I really don't like working with 3DS Max in comparison.

So anyway, here is a little screenshot of my first couple of hours work, don't be too harsh!

Next I intend to add a pitlane and look in to adding white lines around the circuit. I'm not very good with textures, so that's where I am going to have to practice a lot.

Cheers guys,
Rich

Hey guys. Was testing to do my own dedicated server from my home pc last night. It's from a static ip with the ports forwarded and the ip is clear through the DMZ. It comes up in the server list with a ping but when i try to connect to it the box that normally says "connecting" or "connected" just has the cancel button and is blank. So it basically does nothing.

any ideas?

cheers

If the dedicated server is on the same PC of the client, please make sure to set a port that is not the default one, for example:

kart.exe -dedicated 10611

cheers mate, will give it a go:)

EDIT: Works a treat, thanks.
