Paints / Re: Custom In-Game Number Tutorial

Haha, well last season, I won every race and he competed in most of them, so I dare say I'm quickest :P that's why I've got the #1 in the skin for this season. He's definitely got me beaten in terms of the photoshop stuff though, he's really good at all the skins and what not.

Thanks for the support EVO. I can't take full credit for the paint, as my brother MrShowtime22 did all the numbers for me. I just figured out how to stop the numbers generating over the skin :)

More videos to come down the track, as I'm racing in the Australian KRP Series and plan to do track guides for each of the rounds.

Paints / Custom In-Game Number Tutorial
February 12, 2013, 02:49:15 PM
Hey guys. I've put together a tutorial on how to put custom nubers into the game like you see in the screenshot below.

The following video describes the process involved to prevent the numbers from being generated over the top of the player skins in game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZFkGHqqsGU

The replacement plate.tga file can be downloaded from the following link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/yqgw0dkq66mc0j0/plate.tga

Just a note that this only works for the CRG and Birel karts due to the Tony Kart generating the yellow background as well as the number to place over the player's skin.

I hope you guys find this tutorial useful!

Bug reports / Re: Loss of FFB after a few laps
October 24, 2012, 09:06:51 AM
Hey guys, it's been a while since this thread has been posted in, as I noticed piboso said that the FFB loss had been fixed in beta 6, but I'm now experiencing the FFB losses again in beta 7. I use a Logitech G27 and I've got all the updated drivers etc. It's happening on tracks that didn't have any problems in the past. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi guys

Here is a link to a video I uploaded today which is of a 6 lap KS1 Race at Lonato. Features quite an epic battle between myself and MrShowtime22 with a bit of additional commentary done by myself.

This track is a heap of fun to drive, especially in the shifter. Did about 10 laps and can see that it will produce some great racing :)

Hi guys. A few of you might have seen the Aus/New Zealand league that was hosted here over the last couple of months. Realism-Racing.com.au now has a dedicated website for the league along with a couple of other leagues for other titles including rFactor and netKar Pro.

The following is a link to the website.
http://www.realism-racing.com.au/index.php

The following is a link to the league forums.
http://www.realism-racing.com.au/forums/index.php

We plan on having a friendly Australian and New Zealand sim-racing community on there who look to have some good, clean, fun racing and we would appreciate it if you would take a look at the website and sign up on the forums and get involved in some discussion for the next Aus/New Zealand KRP league.

See you out on the track :)

Hey guys, sorry I've been a bit quite, life has been fairly full on over the past couple of weeks with uni exams and working full-time straight after, but should be back on track from now on :) Good to see that the website is starting to get there Jamie, will have to have a sneak peak whenever it's up next :) Also, ordered my new pc and should be able to pick it up over the next couple of days :) looking forward to racing again with you guys soon!

I don't know if you guys have read the date of my last post in this topic, but I haven't worked on this skin for a good 6-8 months so no more updates will  be coming for it, and I don't see myself doing many more skins in the future for a little while anyway

Hi Jamie

Good news is that I've got my computer back now so I should be able to race again, but bad news is I'm heading right into end of semester for uni so I've got a heap of assignments and exams coming up so I think it will be a struggle for me to make many of the rounds but I'll try my best :)

Haha yeah this one weighs in at just under $2000 built by the guys at Umart so I get a years warranty on it, should be a bit of a beast for sim racing haha
