I just read this by accident and have to say, exactly my thoughts the last few days...
what keeps me from driving krp at the moment is the braking, especially if I compare to real life experience it doesn't feel as easy to have the rear end step out under braking and keep it like that throughtout the breaking phase. In real life it is easy and almost comes natural to overdrive the kart on the brake (have it go sideways under braking). Please have a look into this, in my opinion a very important point, if one wants to really be able to enjoy the driving, breaking, sliding, being on the edge... a sensation which at the moment really only assetto corsa can deliver
