Kart Racing Pro beta4b released:

It's a quick fix to address some bugs:
- send setup
- tires' temperatures when English units are set
- hide steering wheel
- steering wheels mapping

Also, a change: when "Automatic Idle" is not set, the kart is deployed with engine off.

Can I ask why it said Beta4b on the site download a day ago, and now it just says Beta 4?  Do we need to all uninstall and reinstall the game, or is this an optional update?

I bought KRP when it was in the first beta, and it's steadily improved with every update. 
Really loving this new build! Seems to me like the Netcode is a bit more stable, even though from what I understand it wasn't updated.
Dynamic track surface is a first in any game as far as I can tell, so where is your Nobel prize!!!

I agree with you Cris, a great initiative to get things going in KRP.

I think what we really need is organized weekly races, or two even per week.

I'm hoping more of you will join us at iraceonline.eu and help us to build a KRP racing community together, it will be great fun and the rewards are intense racing with like minded fair drivers.  We have a dedicated server sitting there waiting to have more Kart races!

That's a good idea, I just wonder, if anyone is invited to join, what's the point in putting a password?

All are welcome, but please be respectful and polite to the Admin and other members, we are a friendly and helpful group of drivers. 
Any drivers repeatedly typing "Restart please" or anything else in an annoying way in the chat window will be immediately ejected.

FPS over 150 will also be excluded, apologies for that, but this will ruin the game otherwise

I've said it in another post but once I disabled Shadows, Reflections, 3D grass, and "enabled 2D flags" I had no lag at all.  I have a pretty good pc too so it's not only the FPS, in hotlapping I can have all settings on MAX.  I find AA, Anisotropic, etc can all still be on max.

Unfortunately I did CTD after while watching Lepper and Cris_Ace in the Live Window...

We should try to coordinate all our graphic settings before next weeks race and see if we get an improvement across the board.

Oh and I did also get a CTD a few days ago in exactly the same situation as Cris_Ace has described, someone passed me and just after I got a CTD.

Try to turn off, shadows, 3Dgrass, Refections, and check the box "Enable 2D flags".  After I did that I had a perfect race with no lags.  Even if you have a very powerful PC, try this it might really help.  When Hotlapping you can re'enable all of these settings.

It solved lag issues for me anyway
