Title: Russian Ring Kart Layout
Post by: vizzz on December 10, 2010, 11:20:52 PM
Here is karting track based on Russian Ring from GP Bikes.

Thanks for Piboso for track tools and for KRP. Right now it's possible to add tracks. So it was easy to add almost finished track to KRP.
BTW, karting layout was always included in Russian Ring track. I made my own version of trackside objects suited for karting.

Links for download:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PSZ261HV
http://uploading.com/files/fad27e15/rr_kart.zip/

Install:
Unpack archive in root folder of KRP:  X:\Program Files\Kart Racing Pro\

Updated RDF file is attached. Added pits, grid is fixed and moved to long strait to enable roll start.
Replace original RDF with fixed one in folder:  X:\Program Files\Kart Racing Pro\track\RussianRing\

Thanks vizzz for the track, nice to have a change. ;D
Just one suggestion, maybe include a pits so drivers don't join on the actual track.
Other than that it's pretty good. ;)

Really nice track. I really like the first corner the shicane. It really reminds me of a layout my track used to run. What is everybodys best time with the defualt? So far im at a 32.94

Very nice! The track itself is very spacious and allows the racer to carry some serious speed in otherwise slow looking confinements, I love it! Thank you for posting it.

33.348 KC1, but that's not with the default, a few minor tweaks which has become my default. ;)

Hello,

Very good track!
Why you do not a version with the long track? With the KS1, It's very Funny.

Could you make a change in the chicane? the piano of the last vertex is too high. A little lower would be perfect.

Yes, it's, the kart jumps here and keep on track is very complicated. Fix this 'bug' please?  :-\

Can you post some pics to show where exactly correct chicane?

don't change the track becaus you can't drive it your way you gota adapt to the track, its wrong to adapt the track too you.
and if iam right its all about the last curb in the first chicane ? you can go around it.

I did around 30 laps the other day, and it's like playing Russian Roulette.

T4 (the tight left hairpin) needs to be flattened (or the tyres brought out more to prevent cutting the curb) and the entry & exit curbs of the T5 chicane desperately need reshaping so they are not so extreme IMO. Would be more enjoyable then, for me at least. Hopefully you don't take offence vizzz, just my constructive criticism ;)

Just go around that corner of the curb, it is a lot of fun to adapt to the track and master that difficult spot round for round. ;)
