Title: Most mistakes made during first track creations
Post by: LauZzZn on October 20, 2016, 07:34:50 PM
Currently a lot of community member contact me to convert their Bobs Track Builder track creations.
I am happy to convert your track, but before, go sure to do it properly!

Here is a guide about mistakes people make on their first projects.

Here you can find a link on video tutorials how to do it properly:

First big mistake is the track being very edgy:

you have to decrease the panel length in the surface tab to a value between 1 and 2.

Next mistake are the kerbs:
The kerb is very edgy, too. also it is placed very sloppy and you can see grass between kerb and track. also it is a standard btb kerb, normally kart track kerbs are shaped different ;)

Next mistake is the terrain creation:
it is overlapping and has several layers. This will cause flickering in Kartracing Pro.

In this video I use 3ds max to show how to properly do the terrain in max, but it works similar for Bobs track builder:

Also, this track I got for conversion is very unfinished. There is absolutely no scenery and I wont convert your tracks 3 times!

I will add further mistakes #soon
