I Think we need a good Download Section where the Tracks easy to find and to Download, because nobody finds Released tracks in this forum without watched 50 Sites

Yes, it would help alot, especially for new members but also for everybody else in the forum.

Before we reinvent the wheel take a look at what has been realised for GPBikes and WRS. MEGA and Dropbox are payed Pro accounts and synchronised.
To ensure a good download quality for everyone there are two places because some people have problems with Mega and some with Dropbox.

https://mega.co.nz/#F!eNVSADpZ!a6u3dBMlFT8zw5x7K68eVg
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jw9811t7mlgx45f/AAB4mosTJ9QKRfK59bNC4xSoa

Everytime a new track is released it will be uploaded to both stores (if it's ok for the track author) and a forum message is posted in the 'Track Downloads' thread.
All tracks have release numbers (e.g. Lonato_V1.1) to avoid confusion if they are updated.

The system is running for a while now and it's working pretty well.

I have a MEGA account that has something like 50 gb free. I can upload onto there. You take care of Dropbox.

Nice, that's a very good start for the project.  :) :)  I'll pay for the dropbox account. Now let's care for the rest.

I'll begin compiling all tracks we have. I do know that there is kart.marienly.de (spelling might be different) but that is a good place to start.

Here a preview of my Dropbox version. The first tracks are online (~5GB).
Link to the tracks here: http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=4785.0

I've uploaded the tracks which I've found at my local drives. Please check if they are the latest versions.

There are still a lot of tracks missing, here I NEED YOUR HELP. Please tell me which tracks are not in the list and if possible post a link.

I know for a fact people used this,  it takes time for everything to come together

A new link to the database is set. But I really need your support. I've uploaded the tracks which I have and what I found in the forum but the database is by far not complete.

I've to reactivate my old account or make a new one. But to be honest, I hate chats.  ::)
I'll PM at the weekend when I'll have a bit more time.

Though I do have a suggestion, can we move tracks into folders by their authors so the authors can be credited and if there are two different versions of a track by two different  authors it's organized.
I would prefer the alphabetical order but it's no problem if you, Marco or someone else wants his own subfolder.

@all, are the Dropbox download speeds ok for you? Do we need alternative downloads?

Definately better than Mega, which doesnt download at all if you change the site while downloading

It's also my experience.
Besides I have a problem with Kim Dotcom's history and MEGA's LIMITED TERMS OF SERVICE ("TERMS"). I also hate the need of using Chrome or loading their addon for Firefox. The use of IE is nearly impossible, I prefer open platforms.

But I don't know how well Dropbox works in other countries.

The download speed is ok for me and thank you for upload the tracks.

Is it possible to move the download-link to a position, where everybody can find it easier like "tracks download database" and where is only one post with the link?

Yes, I'll do it as soon as everything is sorted out.

Great Work. maybe nice to organize the track by region with folders.  Then use public link.  Europe, North America, South America, Asia, etc.

Thanks for your reply EVO, I'll think about it. What exactly do you mean by writing "use public link"? Upload open for all or something else?

maybe dropbox changes but they had a public folder which your chould share and it would have folders in it.  not just restricted to files

For new accounts Dropbox removed the former "public folder" at the end of 2012. But it's no problem to use subfolders in a published link.

I'm still not sure about the idea of separating the tracks to region folders. If someone is looking for a track by name, it's easier to have a folder with alphabetical order. If I add region folders all tracks have to be uploaded twice - one copy in the alphabetical track folder and one e.g. in the Europe folder.

You are right.  I was amazed when I looked at the database at how many there are.  Does drop box have a search feature? I'll petition one with you.

No, Dropbox doesn't offer a search feature but you can use your browser's page search (Ctrl+F for most browsers) without problems.

Hi guys,

I've got a question. I bought the license by http://www.kartracing-pro.com/?page=purchase. But now i want to add some new tracks from your dropbox (tracks). I've just made a map "Tracks" on my KRP map but it doesn't work. Bought i the wrong license or isn't this the good way for adding new tracks?

I hope there is somebody who can answer this question  :)

Right click on the KRP icon, open file location, tracks,
Open the winrar, and put inside the folder

you need to go to "My Documents"/"Piboso"/"Kart Racing Pro"/"mods" create a tracks folder. Once youve done that you need to open up the track in winrar winzip or 7zip and drag the folder into the tracks folder.
