My first track! Fantasy track made from this sketchup (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=bd315d0c80dc9fff4e28f34d9ab1c40d&ct=mdrm&prevstart=0)
Not complete, so it will get updates, as they come.
New update:
*More grip (BASPH)
*Kerbs have KERB prefix
*Minor texture updates (sketchup has one-way objects, lots of work in 3ds max.
Planned features:
The bridge must be fixed!
Extended layout + layout with bridge
3d inside kerbs (the won't grip flip you)
Full textures + fix one-way textures.

Thanks to LauZzZn, Ian Bushey (DrKarter97), and PiBoSo. Couldn't have done this without you guys.
Nice, how hard is it to make a track with sketch up? Is it much different from making a track with 3ds max or btb? Is converting it harder?
Making it in sketchup complicates everything and makes texturing a nightmare. Just do it in btb or 3ds, it's way easier and even though it may seem like it is less challenging in sketchup, it just adds to the steps you have to take to get it into KRP, and it is overall a bad idea IMO.
did you have to use btb or 3ds max to get this track into KRP?
3ds.
Looks nice
really nice !
;D
Congrats :)
It's awesome
Please put on stats...
really nice track mate :)
Update

You guys ready for this track? All new extended layout with 6 current layout!
:) . what about some more barriers on the new and existing bits so its not easy to cut the track (even tho it wont count the lap i recon it would be good) but it looks EPIC !!!!!!!!!!!!
The circuit is over the 1700 meter length for official CIK-FIA championships for non-gearbox karts. Should there be a slightly shorter layout that does not go around the hotel? The gearbox karts can race on the track, as their limit is 2500 meters, but what should the solution be?

Have the same for every kart
(http://i1375.photobucket.com/albums/ag476/Maxt35/LO_zpsbf7230b3.png)
have 3 layouts. the normal one, big one and one where the red line goes (http://s1375.photobucket.com/user/Maxt35/media/LO_zpsbf7230b3.png.html)
I'll test out the distance. I am thinking I might just add in a chicane before the hotel and take off around 300 meters. So far it is 1956 meters.
i do like the idea of having the yhotel bridge tho

My solution as of now. Gearbox karts can run on the full track, and different layouts will be established, but as of now, this is the best I can do without severely modifying the track. Thoughts? Prayers? Advice?
nice corrie. are u going to make that small hairpin track texture or keep it like it is ? and are u going to put barriers around the out side of the track and boundorys to the track ? and and fix the pit wall so we see the sam in pit as we do outside on track ?
I'll do whatever is most popular. Should the track texture be implemented into the shorter track?
Also, there is now more runoff area and kerbs, barriers etc. nearly all WSK tracks and others that run world class events don't have barriers except for in front of walls and dangerous objects. Plus, there is no need because corner cutting penalties have been implemented.
ok all sound great mate :)
Make the hairpin with barriers but dont put barriers on the track.. You wont cut for sure as the lap just wont count
Ok. I like the "street circuit" feel of it with less grip and a bit of a fast entry into the corner. I'll add a checkpoint so cutting will invalidate the lap and give a penalty in a race.
In other news, do you guys like the sand as the infield stuff or do you want grass, dirt, etc.?
looks very nice, i like the sand as the infield, sort of makes it seem desert like. I think it looks right for Dubai i don't think grass would make it look better. Would be cool if we could do night racing here
Somehow on Es Course, there are different skyboxes and settings in the lyt files that make it night-like, and I have messaged PiBoSo, but no response as of now. Maybe I will make an attempt at creating a skybox with a moon in the background. As of now, light posts and other minor details are not implemented, but now I am going to work on the sand texturing around the edge of the track (exit of corners will have some tire marks/little details).
Corrupted 3ds max file. Set back is probably a good day or two. I made a backup of it without some details, but I'm really sorry about this new delay.
I recovered parts of the file, but there is still a lot that needs to be done to get it back to where it was at. I added a bunch of runoff area, with banking on the runoff similar to Alcianz, but I have a question: In the picture below, there is a green area and a blue area for runoff. If any changes are to be made, what color/logo/design should be put on one, the other, or both of those runoff areas?

Looks good getting better
Here's an idea for it... What do you guys think? Any suggestions are absolutely appreciated!

Also, the karts will be released soon, they are the 2014 Birel and RK Kart suit + kart skins. Eye candy for now!
Thanks to Artiz and EVO for helping me with shaders, .amb files, and everything else! I couldn't have done any of this without your guidance in uncharted territory of modding! :)
