Yep, then just select the X30 class in game. It's designed to be like Leopard Light as raced over here. :)

Which chassis?

Edit: nevermind I see now, the CRG and Birel don't work. Just try the Tony Kart for now while I try to fix it.
Edit 2: I found the problem, 0.11 is uploading now, I'll update the OP with the new version when it's done. :)

I tried a .zip version but it was taking a really long time to verify with MediaFire so I tried .rar. I'll have another try for you. ;)

Do you mean the 60cc version, or the same engine with a restrictor plate?
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: LauZzZn on April 12, 2013, 01:08:26 PM
junior and senior x30 are the same engine just with bigger exhaust and front brake(and weight). so i make the x30 junior engine with 125ccm and u use it for junior and senior because it looks the same ;)

Post by: Nathan Dunnett on April 12, 2013, 01:21:21 PM
Ok, well if you can get me a dyno sheet and total kart weight for the junior configuration I can do that pretty easily. Do they use the same tyres?
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: LauZzZn on April 12, 2013, 01:32:51 PM
the engine is exactly the same i give you a dyno if i can get one but shouldnt be hard to get one. weight is 145kg and the tyres are the same(here in germany). sound i can record, too.

It blows up when ever I hit the limiter
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: LauZzZn on April 12, 2013, 03:48:56 PM
in x30 you never drive in the limiter. at the max. rpm you must be 100rpm under the limiter of 16.000 then you have the perfect speed and power
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: Eslotes on April 12, 2013, 04:13:18 PM
I want a tuned x30 can i?, max 17,000 rpm more cv than normal? :P lol
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: Nathan Dunnett on April 12, 2013, 04:55:31 PM
The rev limiter is 15800 as per AKA regulations, but I've bounced off the limiter a few times and still haven't blown up yet. What carb settings are you using?
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: Matthew McLean on April 12, 2013, 05:43:11 PM
I thought the rev limiter is 16000 in Australia? But yes I race in Australia. I tried all carby settings and same happened for all. Sat on the limiter for about .7 of a second then blew
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: LauZzZn on April 12, 2013, 06:24:43 PM
in germany the limiter is 16.000 but sometimes when you have a to big gear wheels you can get up to 16.200 and loosing your chain upto 16.500 :D i had 16.500 when i lost my chain at european championship at mariembourg haha :D
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.11
Post by: Nathan Dunnett on April 12, 2013, 06:58:44 PM
Nope, the green CDI unit supplied with both the X30 and the RL from Remo is limited to 15800 rpm. I looked into your issue, seems to be a problem for the CRG and Birel only. I don't know why, they both use the same engine files, but I'll have a look and see if I can find something.

Edit: now I'm getting the same problem in the Tony Kart, don't know what the hell is going on but at least now it's consistent across the three. Should be an easy fix from here.

Edit 2: Fixed the problem, updated OP with the new version. You can now bounce off the limiter all day with 0 carb in any of the three karts. Ideally though, you would use 5 carb and set the gearing to rev to just under the limiter. :)

I'll bet you $100 that you're not running the AKA20 CDI module that we have to run in Australia. ;)

LauZzZn, in Australia it's different to the way you run it. Nathan is making the engine to the current specs of the Australian Karting Association.

Title: Re: IAME X30 0.12
Post by: Nathan Dunnett on April 13, 2013, 11:53:24 AM
Well I initially made this just for myself so I used Australian rules, if it's really that big of a deal I can up the limiter in the next version.

Woops, I messed that up. Had to add another compound to fix that. New version is in the OP.

MG FZ (Yellow) = Soft
MG AZ (Red) = Hard
MG WZ (White) = Wet

Sure I can do that, if you've got the dyno files just PM them to me otherwise I'll just get some next time I go to my engine builder. The handling won't be realistic for the J until we can change the tyres

the X30 is the KF1 bottom end with the ICA topend. good mix.  longevity and performance.. One you make this in 3d you easily do the Sudam.  Same cylinder and head, but different, more simple bottom end.
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.13
Post by: Barlo on April 20, 2013, 07:49:36 PM
X30 engine head is very different from the KF1, the KF1 has six screws and cylinder head is round, while the X30 has only four screws and its head is square, as is the cylinder

Ultimately it wouldn't make a difference, for each of those engines he would still need to model a different bottom end. The X30 is the first engine on the list though, and it's also an engine that he owns, so it will be done first and if anyone can get dyno sheets for the Sudam or whatever other engine, I can make the KRP files as long as someone is willing to do the 3D work.

Hi, I extract the .rar folder to my KRP directory and it doesn't show up in game? And I tried driving on KF3 but it definitely wasn't an X30...I also tried joining the X30 hotlaps server but it said I had the wrong category. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.13
Post by: Nathan Dunnett on April 27, 2013, 07:28:16 PM
Make sure it didn't get extracted into a new folder inside your KRP directory. You should see a folder named 'engines', a folder named 'karts', but not a folder named 'IAME X30 0.13' for example. ;)
Title: Re: IAME X30 0.13
Post by: shaethompson on April 28, 2013, 07:31:48 AM
Yeah, when I extract it, it says there is the engines and karts folder (when in WinRAR), then when I access the actual KRP directory, they aren't there? Then I extract it again and it says the files are already there. I don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong that's why I'm so confused. :( but thanks :)

Maybe double check it's the right directory you're extracting to? I'm not sure, sounds quite weird.

Loved the X30 although I had some difficulty adapting to it.
I was always losing it's rear and spinning, until dibu posted a setup for Lonato which I used as a base for every track and started to alter it's settings from there.
I made my best laps with it, so are you sure it's slower than the KF1? Doesn't look that way to me :)
Anyway, that was an awesome job and I hope that you make some more engines.
5 stars

Title: Re: IAME X30 0.13
Post by: Nathan Dunnett on May 13, 2013, 01:41:29 PM
I was slower with it when I did initial testing but since then I've matched my times that I can do in KF1, I think I need to adjust the torque curve at high revs to be a little lower because it is faster to bounce off the limiter for me which isn't realistic. It drives quite differently to the other KRP karts so it definitely needs a different setup and driving style. Glad to see you like it. :D

Sounds good LauZzZn, I think I'll release the next version once you have the 3D files ready and beta 9 is out, hopefully PiBoSo unlocks tyres for us. ;)

It's only compatible with beta 8, you'll have to either reinstall the older version or wait for the update. I plan on updating once I've tested all the default KRP karts then mess around with tyre selection and ballast again. Hopefully I can also get a proper dyno sheet, and maybe even actual engine 3D models however I don't know how far along LauZzZn is so that might have to wait for the next version. I hope to have the next version out within a week or two. ;)

All updated and uploaded, the new link is in the OP. I'm not totally sure what the handling is like as I don't have a wheel set up at the moment, I just used the ballast and tyre settings I was experimenting with shortly after b9 was released. From what I remember it was pretty good, but I can easily make changes if need be. Old setups will most likely now be redundant, sorry guys. :D

This engine is absolutely amazing. If only I could join in an open dedicated server with the X30 kart...

I haven't heard anything. Hopefully LauZzZn can let us know.

In other news, should have a proper dyno sheet to plug in for the next release in the near future. :)

open the model in 3ds max press number 7 for poly count. Then use then do this

you can delete all the little nuts on the sides of the engine. and small high detailed objects can be deleted.

you can delete the nuts in the engine.  the fittings for the hoses. the starter gear, sprocket, some carb detail, the small electric cables. and  anything else small and highly detailed. Your going to need to put the spark plug wire back.

If there is enough demand I'll update the physics side of the mod again. As for the model, unless someone can step up and get it in game it's just going to stay as is. LauZzZn seems to have lost interest.

I think that would be because he no longer races this engine

That's fair enough but it's been 4 months since you last posted about it and 10 months since you first said you would make it.

Does this mod still work with the latest beta? I haven't used KRP for a while.
