Title: Purdue University Grand Prix Track- Help Needed
Post by: wedge34 on January 03, 2013, 06:56:16 AM
I have been trying to build my local track using the tutorials and guides but just cant seem to get it right. At this point, I have given up hope of ever personally completing the track, let alone to the standards I was hoping for.  I am hoping that a more experienced builder would be interested in helping me out.  I can provide all of the files that I have (not much to speak of) along with any pictures, video, measurements, textures, or scenery requested.

Please contact me if you have any interest in building this tight 1/3 mile or if you would like any more information about the Purdue Grand Prix.

Thanks in advance!

i could help you building it. i make a few 3ds max tutorials for how to make tracks for krp and maybe this helps you. when you want to work with btb ask marco dakic,andi_stengel or maybe aritz.

I had originally attempted going the BTB route, but the trial has expired since I started.  Today I restarted in 3DS Max, but I am having a hard time finding a good tutorial for a beginner to track building.  I attached a correctly sized track in 3DS in-case anyone wants to play around with it.  I will try to complete the mesh in the next week.

Thanks Lauzzzn!  I followed your tutorial, but I can't figure out the lofting step.  The track keeps coming out in a weird shape (see image).  Any ideas?  I attached the 3DS file with the centerline in case that may help.

you sized it and lofted the sized one that doesnt work you have to make a new centerline.
