Title: Bodykits
Post by: Schwoni on October 06, 2012, 10:26:00 PM
How all that new stuff have too look? if we wanna create a bodykit, do we have to create the whole bodykit? or each single part? place centered and export like in gp bikes? if we have to create the whole bodykit then we use the middle of all parts together? so middle of kart? intakes, tires, engines are one small part, so just place centered and export and it fit right? do something need a name? holes of airfilter for example? that the hand know what to cover? is it possible to add new engines?

For bodyworks, it must be a single EDF file with all the objects.
Names must be set in gfx.cfg
For position and rotation, the best thing to do is to use trial and error, until a template scene is released.

"name" sets the object name, and "pos" the position of the holes, relative to the object's pivot.

Id would like to  but it would be dumb unless i can set downforce and higher weight properties.  Also they use 250cc engines with over 90hp.
A 125 with superkart body is not a flattering idea.

I said kz1 just because its the only class with a proper gearbox which you have to shift. We only want it cause it looks cool and piboso said we would not be getting one so can we atleast have the bodywork?

"name" sets the object name, and "pos" the position of the holes, relative to the object's pivot.

in 3ds max i named the object SOCORMEM (and in gfx.cfg)then i moved the pivot point ontop of the holes but the hand still goes to the default location

I think it would require a bodywork for crg, but the only thing that changes are the tube and tie, these would have to be the new intrepid (trunk and tie), would be great, plastics are made only already cost be wanting two front plastic!  :D  ;)

A 125 with superkart body is not a flattering idea.

For what it's worth, they run 125 Open with long circuit bodywork in the UK (not sure if they do elsewhere). Slightly faster engine/more tuned than KZ, I think, although they do run KZ2 as a class (standard bodywork) in the British Superkart series and it isn't much slower.
