Title: other kart classes
Post by: James Beer on June 11, 2012, 08:52:58 PM
i think on krp there should be more kart classes
Title: Re: other kart classes
Post by: James Beer on June 11, 2012, 08:58:57 PM
such as

cadet karts

micromax

junior max

honda twin 160

superkarts

and also championships such as

super one

brdc

sussex open

also please could someone make me Angmering kart circuit bn16 4el

i think these classes will make people want to play it more as at the moment i think their is only 4 types of kart
these types of karts will make racing closer, faster and more enjoyable to play as karts are simular in performance :)

u mean different karts because there are no classes on KRP and when beta 7 comes out there will be a cadet kart and also i think junior max aswell!!!!

thanx,
Liam.  :)

Where have you read that? ICA will be in beta 7 but not cadet or junior max. Even if I would love to see all those classes, it would take a very long time to make them. There are much more important stuff to concentrate on. And seriously, who wants to drive a cadet kart?  :D

i want to drive a cadet kart so does SAMBO72 because he is a cadet and i am a rookie so im one class above him and it says here!  http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=1059.0

I dont drive in cadet class but I would want to drive a cadet kart. Because you have to drive it with different style. You have to focus more on the lines because they have less power.

in reply to Stark, the cadet kart would bring new driving techniques to the game as you have to be good with the racing lines because of less power and speed.
i haven't read this anywhere it is just my suggestions for future versions. ;D

i also think it would be good if kart racing pro added vintage karts from the 60s 70s 80s and 90s to make it more interesting and see how karts have evolved over the years.

also has anyone made a buckmore park track for the game

Of course fix some bugs first before adding more content

Don't mix that up Liam.

For Beta 7, according to PiBoSo the plan is to introduce a new chassis (probably birel) and a new engine (probably 100cc), since these two things are on top of the wishlists for quite some time now ;)

Quote from: PiBoSo on May 03, 2012, 11:36:35 AM

Don't expect a rookie kart for Beta7.
It's on the TODO list, but the top priority is for the new chassis and the new engine.

well yes of course tidy the game up a bit and fix bugs etc.
but i would think more karts would help because then you could compare setups for example.

if you was in a team and had say 3 drivers in different karts you could analyse where say the junior rotax is slower than the senior and make comprimises.

it would be the perfect training tool.

i also had another kart i think they should is Tkm 100cc.

Any other suggestions leave a comment below

tkm would be nice but that is only run by us brits, no one else in the world has it, which is why they used to run UK chassis only its only in the last 10 years theyve been allowed non english karts so i think we'd be  in the minority on wanting it

what about like one of these monster karts, like a kart with a gsxr engine or something like that. they would be very fun to drive.

something like this  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2qX85x93cw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2qX85x93cw)

i think it gets silly if we move away from regulation racing, this is meant to be a karting game so it works best if it sticks to proper kart formulas, like rotax, kf, etc

Ya, but what about the guys that don't drive them? then they have no reason to be using the game just beacuse the engines now, have no similarities to the Yamaha KT-100 or the Comer-80 Cadet. Those people wouldn't be able to use this as a accurate simulator because the game doesn't have anything their familiar with. But I'm also not saying that we shouldn't also have Rotax, TaG, etc

I don't know about anywhere else but here in the U.S. , the Cadet class at Nationals, as well as clubs, is one of the most competive, most entires, and one of the most exciting classes here in this country. That and along with the Yamaha Jr. and Sr., and TaG
Title: Re: other kart classes

thats true, and yamaha engines and stuff like that wouldnt be bad as it is still offical racing, that is controled. I was just saying there is no point putting a kart with a stupid engine in, into this game as its not realy karting. The only kart that has a big engine in that is worth having in this game is a 250cc, which is also known as the super kart, as that is the fastest real kart there is

Ok, now i get what your saying. Ya, that would be a smart idea not to go and put in a class that really doesnt exist

it would be awesome if we could make our own engines like we can for dashes.  There is no way PiboSo is going to make more than 7 engine 3d models and program the physics for them.

Right now we have KF1,KZ1,KF3,SA250,
Also coming ICA/FA , and Mini kart.

That is 7  total. more than enough i think for one developer.

I would gladly 3d model some engines, as long as the people who rerquested them found the proper reference photos and perfomance documentation.

I ment, that there sholdnt be a kart engine that does not exist in real life and have it in the game

Rotax, TAG, Moto, KT100 i would do them all with enough information on them.

If you search the forum you can see I've already 3d modeled the airbox and silencer for the ICA, and Comer.

yes a lot of people have the KT100 but not alot have the model with the round head. most have the box shaped one.  Here they run with a can shapped exhaust and call the class "superbox" "or "supercan"

What we've got in these pictures is a KT100J (Junior) the box shaped ones are the KT100S (Senior) and all have a controlled yamaha exhaust I believe no matter where you are they are the same.

i have the S model the J looks like an antique.  Why dont they just use a resiticted carb S so juniors can go straight to senior with the same motor just differnt carb... Thats whaat we do.

Same for Rotax except they also remove the power valve on junior versions.

the enignes for classes in australia is:
Cadet/Midget:  Comer S60
Rookies(my class): Kt100J(restrictor)
Junior: Kt100J or KT100S
Senior: KT100J or KT100S

or u can just go here ;D ;D ;D :    http://www.karting.net.au/how-to-get-started-in-karting   and down the bottom is the classes with the type of engines.

karters say its one of the best engines,  it has really good reliability, its got a pretty good amount of horsepower for the little guys(me including) .
i dont know if its a older design ???     i dont think so, The j is the most popular engine in Australia!!!!  the S motor coming in second

EDIT:  i found out there didnt get rid of it because everyone didnt want the AKA(Australian Karting Association)  to get rid of it,everyone loved that engine.   there was alot of poeple thinking the J motor would be GONE in a couple of years and..... it never went
Title: Re: other kart classes
Post by: Sam on July 14, 2012, 03:51:20 PM
The j is an old motor it's been in karting from the early 80's that should have died with the dinasores hahaha

if it is more reliable then i gues their is no reason to discontinue it

you still use the s60, you lot need to catch up most people use the w60 or the w80 for cadets.
