Good layout! For the new parts of the track, try to make it with recent photos and video.

I will build the track then put in the new section last,  It is still in very early stages, And no it is not taken from super one karting, But i have a copy of that somewhere looks very old.

is it possible if u could make whilton mill or rissington kart club in the UK
Title: Re: PF International

Whilton Mill already exists, look here at the video   http://forum.kartracing-pro.com/index.php?topic=1380.0

The problem is that the track was never officially offered for download, but the creator is still a more or less active member in the forum. ;)

Will make some changes but would be good to get more feed back, CRGDK37 the length must be longer then 1070 as it is layed onto google map and in tracked it came to 1300 it may be the new section as it is guessed, But will make changes to it, Good to see feed back thank's.

Oh, I think it's the length of the old layout, sorry.

The corner at 0.18 seconds of this video is now banked. Only slightly but it would make it more real ahah

The corner at 0.18 and the corner before was both rebuilt after the video as i was not happy with it.

Post by: Jommy45 on July 08, 2012, 12:14:55 AM
hi maxrod, just tried out pf, great effort, just a few little things that could make it better, the downhill section after the bridge is too steep and short, it would be better and more realistic if it was smoother and more stretched out, kosmicjunior40 is also right about the banking, maybe make the underneath section of the bridge slightly lower and the cross over the top slightly wider, still an amazing effort :) heres a onboard vid if it helps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtj9-z7URtk
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: maxrod on July 08, 2012, 12:52:54 PM
As i stated in the start of the project the new section will be guessed, The bumps are where the track is joined, Will look at this part again but it is alot of work to re-work as it is the area around that will need to be re-worked as well, I like the video and it will help if i re-work this section as it gives good information, Thanks.
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: Schwoni on July 08, 2012, 06:53:39 PM
the track is fine :) very fun to drive and very much courage curves. But i have only 50 FPS (without 3d Gras) With 3d Gras 10 FPS less
Have u done all that objects collidable? If yes use invisible walls for that and make the 3d objects non collidable. That improved the FPS for me in Bueren.

Been round PFI with a GPS, logging all the data you would need i guess.
I can try and post it if it helps, you would need to download Race Studio 2 from Aim Motorsports who make the Mychron.

Post it to me, I can have a look as this would be the best time as i am making some change's to the cross over section, All information will be good.

Post by: CRGDK37 on July 14, 2012, 10:49:12 PM
i dont know if your aware of this but there is only 1 tramline/corridor and its in the middle of the main straight? just a bug found while racing
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: maxrod on July 14, 2012, 11:41:04 PM
Will be looked at, Please if you find any other problems post as i will only be making these changes then i will release again and then onto other projects, I have re-built the cross over the bridge has been move back a little and down a little, removed bumps on down hill, will have less solid objects to have better fps but will be hard to help all as i don't have a problem with fps as i am getting over 200 so i can only go by my own spec.
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: patrese on July 16, 2012, 01:20:50 AM
In Race Studio it is shown as a drk file, but if i try to find it in the data folder it seems to be several seperate files.
I have gathered them and zipped them up, but it's 1.4mb and won't post here. Pm me a email addy and i'll post it directly to you. Try to unzip them and paste them  into Race Studio2 Data folder.
Not sure if this works. I'll try to get some more info from my mate about this whole lark as I'm a bit crap when it's not straight forward.

This track is a heap of fun to drive, especially in the shifter. Did about 10 laps and can see that it will produce some great racing :)

Yes.
No need for Google earth pro though. In Race Studio2 you can export a kml file to google earth but there seems to be a 1m offset btw the two.

First of all; great job  :D Very nice track and fun as hell :) First turn is absolutely brilliant, the best turn of KRP!

I have found three bugs, one is already posted and one maybe is not your fault. The corridors are wrong and there is not finish line, that spacer is not collidable and the weird shadow (has the asphalt alpha channel?)

One little suggestion is to improve the brick bump map, I don't like it :P

The two corridors are needed tomorrow for the race, can you fix them? If you are busy, do you mind if we do it for the race? Thank you :)

Title: Re: PF International
Post by: maxrod on July 19, 2012, 07:26:11 PM
This was released a little early as there is still some work to do, you can sort out the corridors as i have not got time as i am away for the next week, I have made a change to the bridge section and made the down hill a little longer taken away the bumps, will sort out the wall, barrier and a hand full of other problems, I am going to slow the track down a little as the lap time's are way to quick, but it will have to wait untill i am back, yes go ahead and fix the corridors.

Not too sure if it was just our race, but whenever the 2nd place person was going over the bridge they was getting DQ'd for speeding? Anyone else found this?
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: fdg1997 on October 10, 2012, 07:18:25 PM
This happends to me but not in PFi(idk if it will happend in PFi because i dont raced it at moment),its on Rock Island, every time i and my friend tried to start a race,in some point of track he gets DQ because o speeding (he was the 2nd place)

I hope you understand what i want to say xD
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: laraarsa on October 10, 2012, 07:33:02 PM
That has probably got something to do with lag. For example, a person is driving 45, but, but due to lag, the game thinks it's 65. And he gets a disqualification
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: maxrod on October 10, 2012, 07:39:15 PM
Looked at the tracked and can't see any problems, as laraarsa said could be due to the lag, I have only been online with it once and that was to set a time.

I didn't think there was a speed limit for 2nd place on beta 7? Just the distance
Title: Re: PF International
Post by: James Beer on March 17, 2013, 01:24:03 PM
i found some problems with this track i dont know if anyone else has this problem but in the hairpin's (middle of the track) i have a very bad drop in fps down to 10, happens to me offline and online so cant be lag. only happens to me on this circuit. maybe something to do with too many polys or something?

and another thing
(http://i47.tinypic.com/r94k9j.jpg) there seems to be a bit missing in the dynamic groove thingy. on the server we all drove 80 laps plus and drove over the bit where you can see no rubber marks but still it would not appear. it got quite noticeable after a while because you went from a nice surface to a surface which you could get no grip on. any ideas?

thanks

The fps is probably your pc as i have over 150fps i can't make tracks for individual requirements,  There will not be anymore work done on this track at the min but you could do a video of the problems and in the future i will have a look.

i dont think its my pc because this happens at no other track, i understand that you dont want to work/ for individual requirements. ill post a video of it in a bit. i was just seeing if anyone else had the same experiences
