I have tested the new cam files, but i can't get them to change, i see no difference from default.
I have installed them into the proper folders, but any changes i make do not show in the game..
i did notice that the names of the cams have been changed.. name = Helmet   vs  name = Onboard 1
or whatever the helmet can is called by default.. not sure what i'm doing wrong....lol..  I have made big changes.

Title: Re: EVO's Werks Shop
Post by: EVO on November 02, 2011, 10:56:53 PM
In your helemt folder you should have  helmet.tga, visor.tga, and visor#1.tga (for rain)
you can copy and paste visor.tga and rename to visor#1.tga.

you can also put these in a paint folder so it acts as the base helmet when you pack the .tga files all together.

when you pack the .tgas in PaintEd goto dir read at the top
browse to this folder
make sure to name the paint in the bottom left field whether is a kart or helemt then pack it and copy to
program files > kart racing pro > drivers > paints (for helmets)
or
program files > kart racing pro > karts > paints>   t_ks1,t_kc1,t_kc3   or   c_ks1, c_kc1, c_kc3  (for karts)

ok.. i found that changing the helmet cam in the file you sent will only change it in the replay mode
while driving, you can not change the helmet / cockpit view, i want to lower my FOV, and move my driver / cockpit view more to the rear.
is that possible.?

is there a file to alter similar to the replay camera file to change the cockpit view position if your are using a Simulation setup where you sit in an actual kart
Driving views editing is not possible.
How should the position change in an hardware simulation setup?
Please note that at the moment the onboard camera is very close to the eyes' position.

Did the other templates change aswell? Or just steering wheel templates? I have to admit I didn't look at them in detail yet, but I will when I find the time to get the G.P. racing done completely.

Btw. nice moustache on your real helmet evo  ;D

yeah im too poor to aford a professional artist to make my designs real.  So i improvised.  Only difference from the picture and my paint is my kart is a Swiss Hutless.  I was driving my friends.  Claimed it was faster.  Didnt get enough seat time to get used to it and the tires were old.

Only the steering templates changes btw

Good Senna Kart paint, but the suit seems slightly to red. Just a bit to glaring/intense.

This stuff is cool Evo. But I am an old cat and race real karts, (urban gurillia karts) look us up at urban gurillia karters any how are the
designs you have here going to be in the mod? Because I am to dumb to put these in the game. Also let me know about a league here
in USA.
Rogenator       Oh yeah still looking for rain that smears not drops on the visor. Thanks Rog

after you download extract it in the installation directory.  If you have the full version it will immediately work
in game go to kart selection screen and select it.

For some reason the exporter makes the dashes crooked on the steering wheel

if you are using 7 zip move the zip folder to the KRP installation folder in program files.  then right click on it 7zip > extract here  and done.  Select it in game

I just downloaded the version i posted to see that the problem is.  There is none.  Aslong as you extract to the KRP directory in Programfiles
so that you have a folder named dashes in the KRP directory with the two dashes in that folder.   It will work! as shown below

Title: Re: EVO's Werks Shop [All dashes updated plus new original dash]
Post by: EVO on January 13, 2012, 11:17:05 PM
yeah i had it larger but it didnt fit on the dash.  And no matter how wide i made it. it didnt fit so a just made it smaller font.  i can test a larger dash. i think its a conflict with the UVW map and the texture.  I'll try a wider dash again

EVO Hi, I have a problem with Painten. I just painte for WRS> FR 2000, the car; the driver and his helmet. This works well in the game, but he does not recognize the visor.  :'( I guess it works then schwonis visor. Now I ask, would you tell me a blue iridium visor with "GIVES YOU WINGS" and one in gold with the McLaren logo Painten and Johnnie Walker on it?  :P
I have read your tutorial I was not brought top (the visor). I tried it with your template and even with the standard temp.  :-[
